Leo didn't recognize his best friend when he opened the door to Piper's mansion.
Jason's blue eyes were burning with anger and mistrust. "What are you doing here?" He asked coldly, shoving himself in the space between the door and the outside world.
"Did you not get my messages?" Leo asked. "I said I was coming today."
"We got the messages, alright. And we've been getting attacked ever since."
"I never meant-"
"I don't care what you meant to do. My girlfriend is laying inside with a bleeding head and as far as I'm concerned, this is all your fault."
"I'm sorry," Leo whispered. He couldn't make eye contact with Jason. The people he'd felt closest to, his only family up until that point, hated his guts.
"We'll manage. Without you, of course." Jason slammed the door, leaving Leo more alone than he'd ever felt.
