An Un-Gallifreyan Child

Part 1

Day had come to Gallifrey as the sky burnt a deep red orange and wind rustled through the shimmering silver leaves. And with the new day came new life.

The mother, a proud Time Lady, died during the looming. The father, a prominent Time Lord, had died weeks earlier when the doors to his TARDIS had flown open and he had been sucked out and ripped apart in the vortex.

Outside the small estate on Gallifrey, the silver trees were now ablaze with fire that matched the hue of the sky. Up in that sky, golden specks grew as Daleks invaded Gallifrey.

On the day of his father's death, he had left his will stating that a special TARDIS would be grown for his son. This TARDIS would grow alongside his son, as Time Lord and TARDIS should.

The Looming nurse heard the shouts and screams of terror as the Daleks approached. She knew the TARDIS wasn't ready, but also knew that they didn't have any more time.

Taking the crying baby in her arms, she scrambled out of the house. She ran through the explosions around her towards the Untempered Schism. There, she let the baby look into it as best she could. His crying amplified and the Daleks in the sky turned directions. Their long rods of eyes sent a piercing blue stare at the Nurse and child as they began to chant, "EXTERMINATE!"

The Nurse ran as fast as she could. Her feet practically glided over the hard ground. She emerged into a room full of blooming TARDISES and ran to the correct patch. She saw its size and cried out in fear, on the outside, it was a closed up, wicker basket, not big enough for her. She wiped away tears with a determined hand and was about to put the baby inside the small TARDIS when she realized something.

The baby was unnamed. But what could she name it?

Then, the chrome ceiling above her exploded and silver pieces rained down over her. She then knew she would die. She knew that this was the beginning of the end. This was the Last Great Time War. This was Judgment Day.

Judgment Day! The baby Time Lord was loomed on Judgment Day!

The Nurse took off her bleached, blindingly white apron as the Daleks flew into the room. With a quill, the Nurse began to scribble on the apron as the Daleks began to destroy all of the TARDISs around the room. Finally, she wrapped the baby in the apron, opened the underdeveloped basket TARDIS and threw the baby inside. Reaching in, all the way up to her shoulder, The Nurse was able to find the lever. She pulled it just as the Dalek's ray shot towards her and enveloped her in a negative energy.

The Nurse collapsed onto the ground dead. Her body lay sprawled, spread-eagled and lifeless on the cold, chrome floor.

The Daleks shot at the basket with a screech of "EXTERMINATE!"

But it was too late. The Undulating noise had begun and the small TARDIS along with the new Time Lord dematerialized.

Inside the small TARDIS, the baby lay on the console board, wrapped in an apron with his knew name written on it. The name read:

The Judge.
