"What" and "If". Two words. Six letters. But when put together hold so much promise. Two words that can change a life, in the blink of eye if you them, if you let them take over your mind. And that's what happened to me. You let them take over. You spun a web of lies just to get that "What if". And it was a big mistake. A mistake that you will regret for the rest of your life. One that drove the man of your dreams from your arms. Just because you could have had the "What if" with him.
Let me tell you something. Give you a word of advice. Boys like Finn Hudson will draw you in, make you fall in love, give everything to them, your life, your love, your dream, your virginity, everything. And then they leave you for a prettier girl. One with a normal sized nose, one with blonde hair, blue eyes, a perfect figure.
And then he comes along. And he makes you feel like a beautiful woman. The only one he wants. The apple of his eye, the light on top of the Christmas tree, the single diamond of the ring. But then he comes out. As a spy and cracks an egg on your head.
But then, the light comes. The boy you can only dream of. The one that would die for you, the one that changes his playboy ways for you, the one that studies for you so he can go to New York with you after high school. But then the promise of "What if" comes back. With Finn Hudson and you can't help but say yes. And you break two hearts in the process, yours, and his. But you can't help it. But then New York comes and he goes to Florida and you're left with a doubly broken heart.
So you apologize to him. He accepts, but doesn't forgive. And you're not surprised, after you put him through that, you don't expect to ever see him again. But you do. Because he goes to New York. With you and your best friend and his boyfriend. And you run into each other everywhere. Sometimes you think he's following you, sometimes you think you're following him.
Life goes on. You watch your best friend and his boyfriend get married at 22. Sure it's young, but they had been together since they were juniors and she had even gotten their rings inscribed as a wedding present. They now said "courage".
And Finn Hudson comes. Because he's your best friends stepbrother. So you fall for him again. Even though he's there. Because he won't ever forgive you.
But he has. And you found out too late. Because you already slept with Finn Hudson, and you tell him that but he doesn't care. So you get back together. But then find out you're pregnant. With Finn Hudson's child. So you tell both. And Finn Hudson tells you that he's disgusted that you would let that happen and he never wants to see you again.
But he tells you that it's okay and he'll be there very step of the way and he'll love that child as if it were his own. So you get married. And you live happily for years and your son grows to be a singing basketball star. And you're so proud.
And Finn Hudson comes back to tell you he's sorry. So you sleep with him.
You regret it.
With your life.
He finds out.
And leaves you.
You get a divorce.
You never see him again.
Or Finn Hudson.
You would have killed yourself.
But you had a son.
And that was how you let the words "What" and "if" ruin your life. You let their promise control you.
And that was how Rachel Berry lost the love her life.
Noah Puckerman.
I know this is morose. But I just spit this out randomly. I ship Puckleberry, second favorite glee ship, right after Klaine, which is the gay couple that got married. I hope you liked it. I don't own.
