For the Love of a Sibling:

Separation Anxiety

"Jenrya, I miss Lopmon. I wish she would come back," Shuichon whined to her older brother as she followed him through their family's spacious apartment.

"I know you miss Lopmon, Shuichon. I miss Terriermon too, but they had to go back to the digital world," Jenry replied to his seven-year-old sister.

"But Lopmon could have stayed here. I would have feed her and taken good care of her. We could've had tea parties everyday and Terriermon could've joined us too," Shuichon argued back somehow convinced that her brother could bring the digimon back.

"Shuichon, we all want our digimon back, but they had to go back to the Digital World. There's nothing we could do about it," Jenrya tried to reason with his sister who was quickly getting on his nerves.

"But it's not fair," she replied with a stomp of her foot and her bottom lip started to quiver

Uh oh, Jenyra thought, She about to start crying

"Whah, Jenrya," Shuichon started to cry, "you're supposed to make everything better as my brother."

Jenrya gave up trying to reason with his sister about the digimon instead he decided it would be best to stop his sister's tears

"Shush, it's going to be okay Shuichon," Jenrya told his sister as he knelt next to her and wrapped her in a hug while rubbing her bag comfortingly

Shuichon cries turned into sobs and then into sniffles.

"Come on let's try something,"

Jenrya gently coaxed his sister into his room and sat her down at his computer desk. He grabbed a game from his closet and inserted in into the computer

"Whatcha doing?" Shuichon asked her curiosity piqued

"Well this is the game Dad gave me that brought Terriermon here…"

Shuichon perked up, "You mean you're going to bring Lopmon back?"

"No," Jenrya replied but quickly continued on before Shuichon tears could start up again, "I'm going to see if we can see the digimon through it."

Shuichon waited quietly as Jenrya started the game. The screen showed a grassy field but no digimon.

"It didn't work," Shuichon pouted.

"Give it a minute, Shuichon," Jenrya quietly told her

A pixilated figure began to walk onto the screen. Shuichon started at it for a second not used the graphics being different from real life. Her face then broke out into a large smile upon recognition.

"Lopmon!" she cried happily

"Shuichon," the digimon replied

"Jenrya thank you so much," Shuichon replied jumping up to give him a hug.

Jenrya just smiled as he watched his sister sit at the computer desk and talk to the digimon. Being separated from their partners hurt, he just hoped that this could make it a little easier for his sister. At seven-years-old she shouldn't have to now how cruel the world can be.
