A Prayer on the Wind

I said a prayer again today,

But it seems that no-one heard.

Nothing was felt in my heart,

My ears sensed no word.

Troubled is the world around me,

Troubled is my kind.

Demons consort with the wicked,

In cruelty pleasure they all find.

I pray for men, I pray for women,

I pray for children small.

But does it reach a being's ears,

Or am I too to fall?
