Hidan slumped onto the dinning room table in his seat and moaned as he looked mournfully at the cake Deidara was pulling out of the oven. It wasn't often that Deidara cooked but when he did it was always some kind of sweet and it always tasted good.

"Oi Blondie, when's that gonna be ready, m'hungry." He whined, Deidara turned to Hidan with a slightly sadistic smirk that Hidan missed as his focus on the cake deepened.

"Why? You want some?" Deidara asked, his eyes filled with evil glee which was wiped from his face the moment Hidan glanced at him with a deadpan stare.

"Of course I want some, I just said I was fucking hungry, now gimme some." Hindan demanded. Deidara held his hands in surrender. "Alright, alright, have it your way."

Deidara took his time cutting into the cake, making sure that each cut was straight and precise and hid the contents from view. By the time he was finished cutting the cake and served Hidan his piece other members of the Akatsuki had made their way into the kitchen and lounge and were watching the pair intently, it wasn't often that Deidara cooked and it was even rarer to find him serving someone other than himself. Hidan didn't seem to notice the weird behavior or he just didn't care but it was suspicious, Deidara was planning something.

He stood there watching Hidan scarf down the cake with a dark grin and a glint in his eyes.

"This is great Deidara, what is it?" Hidan exclaimed speaking through his food making the cleaner members cringe.

Deidara's grin widened into a full blown slightly creepy smile, it was much too happy to mean anything good.

"I'm glad you asked Hidan." He replied a little too cheerfully for even Hidan's taste and he threw him a suspicious look going from Deidara to the cake that was half way to his mouth.

"I like to call it Cyanide Surprise."

Hidan paled and dropped his cake as the rest face palmed and sighed, Deidara walked off laughing and nobody every ate anything he made ever again.
