A/N so this is my first Fan fiction story ever so I hope you like it! I should probably be studding for my exams and doing my homework but I think I'm the queen of procrastination so go figure. Chapter 1 - Kate's Big Day

Katherine Houghton Beckett woke up this morning feeling the happiest she could. Today was her big day, she was getting married!

She rolled over wanting to sleep longer but before she could even close her eyes Lannie Parish was knocking on the door.

"C'mon! Get Up! You have to be out of the shower in less than half an hour before the hairdresser gets here!"

Kate groaned an "I'm up" before rolling onto her back and sitting up starring at the door where she knew her best friend was standing just on the other side.

Then the knocking started again "Katherine Beckett get your butt out of bed now or I'm coming in!"

"K"

Kate got up and went into the shower. She loved the feeling of the warm water running down her body and wanted to stay in the shower forever. But she knew there was someone else waiting to spend forever with her so she got out of the shower dried herself, put on a dressing gown and forty minutes after the first knock she walked out into the living room, or at least what she thought was the living room.

The room had been transformed into a beauty salon with hair makeup and nail stations set up for herself and her three brides maids Lannie, who had just sat down to have her nails done, Jenny Ryan, who was having her hair done, and Alexis Castle, who was getting her makeup done.

"Kate or should i say mum you're out" exclaimed an exited Alexis.

Kate sat down in the last chair next to Jenny where one of the hairdressers started on her freshly washed hair.

"Yes Alexis I'm out. I was enjoying the wonderful warm water that's why I took so long and I think I overslept a little. And you may call me whatever you wish."

Jenny turned her head to look at Kate.
"Hey! How are you feeling? I remember on my wedding day I was so nervous but I didn't know why."

"Hi Jenny, I really don't feel nervous at all. Is that bad? I feel really calm and can't wait to see him."

The girls sat getting pampered and chatting for the next four hours getting up only to move to a different station.

Just before noon there was a knock on the door. James Beckett walked through the doorway with a bakery bag in one hand and a suit bag in the other.

"Daddy your here early!"

"Hello to you too Katie"

Kate smiled sheepishly "Hello Daddy"

Jim smiled at his little girl getting all done up and thought about Johanna. Kate's mum would have been so proud.

"I thought you girls might be hungry so I went and bought some sandwiches, bagels and bear claws."

Perfectly timed, Alexis' stomach grumbled and the room erupted into fits of laughter

"I guess you were right Dad, turns out we are hungry" Kate said between giggles "Why don't you get the small fold up table out of the cupboard and put it here in the middle so we can help ourselves"

Jim went into the cupboard and found the foldaway table and set it out in the middle of the room where all the girls could reach it.

When all the girls were munching away Jim went into the bathroom where he could go and get dressed.

When Jim came out of the bathroom 20 minutes later the hair and makeup people were packing away all their equipment and the girls were nowhere to be found.

One of the nail girls turned to see Jim's confused expression and said "they've gone upstairs to get dressed before everyone gets here."
