Leo was taking a break for a change. It was an unusually warm day in Ogygia, the sun was shining brightly and Leo felt sleepy. Altogether, he saw no reason for not putting his head on the grass, even if for a minute or so, and staring at the sky.

On the other hand, Calypso was still hard at work in her garden. Her hands were dirty with soil and it had gone under her fingernails, but she didn't mind. Her work was gratifying.

When Leo called her over, however, Calypso put down her shovel and walked over to his working place. She was surprised to see that he was taking a break - normally he wouldn't stop and she almost had to shove food in his face. Leo was dedicated, to say the least, and Calypso appreciated it.

"Hey," Leo called from his spot on the grass. He patted a place beside him and said, "Come sit for a bit."

Calypso hesitated. She had never been so close to Leo - now he was inviting her to lie beside him. But Leo looked so happy and welcoming (not to mention cute, thought Calypso, but she shoved that out of her mind) that she couldn't refuse.

Instead she walked towards the place he had shown and sat down carefully beside him.

Leo smiled as her cinnamon-toast coloured hair blew slightly in the wind. (It was a beautiful colour, he thought vaguely, but he shoved that out of his mind.) He was glad that she was taking a break - she deserved it.

Calypso lay down and watched the sky for a minute or so.

It was nice, she reflected, to have some company, even if it wasn't Percy or Drake or Odysseus, but hyper-active Leo Valdez.

Leo broke the silence, fidgeting as normal, "Calypso?"

"Hmm?" she replied, plaiting a lock of her hair absent-mindedly.

"Have you ever cloud watched?"

Calypso turned her head a fraction and Leo took a sharp breath as her kaleidoscope eyes collided with his.

She frowned. "What do you mean?"

"Cloud watching." Leo smiled, "So you watch the clouds and find shapes. Like constellations, but with clouds."

"Oh. No, I've never done that before," Calypso turned her head back and studied the sky.

Leo raised an arm and pointed, nudging his head towards hers, "Like that one there. See it? It looks like a turtle."

Calypso smiled, "A turtle? No, it looks more like a peanut."

"How?" asked Leo, and he turned his head slightly, "Oh. I see it now."

They lay in silence once more, until, "What about that one?"

"Where?"

Calypso motioned to another cloud, "It looks like a dragon."

A sad look passed over Leo's face, which Calypso caught out of the corner of her eye.

"Yeah," he said softly, "Like Festus."

Calypso didn't know who or what Festus was, but Leo looked so upset that she decided to change the subject.

"Or what about that one? That one looks like a flower."

"A flower?" Leo looked to where Calypso was pointing, "Nah, that's more like the fireworks or something."

Leo watched Calypso surreptitiously as she scanned the clouds. The wind blew a lock of her hair into Leo's face and he slowly tucked it behind her ear.

Calypso turned to him at the contact and their eyes collided once more. Leo smiled, somewhat nervously and spoke, "You'll get to leave one day, you know."

Her expression turned hopeful, "You really think so?"

"Yeah. We'll have our garage, somewhere in New York, maybe, and you'll sing and I'll fix stuff and…" Leo's voice died out as she turned back to the sky.

"I hope so, Leo." she said quietly, "I really do."

Silence fell once more and fatigue enveloped Leo, who had been struggling against sleep for ages.

As he gave in and fell asleep, he could have sworn that Calypso had spoken again.

"That cloud looks just like a heart." she had said. But Leo was too tired, and had drifted off before he could reply.

"You're stealing my heart, Leo Valdez."
