It was my and my cousin Al's first train ride to Hogwarts. James and Ted had already been. Ted was a seventh year this year and James was a third year. They had both been sorted into Griffindor. Which put a lot of pressure on me and Al to do the same, but unlike all of them I wanted to be in Ravenclaw. I had my suspensions that Al did too but was to ashamed to admit it.
"Where is James going?" Al asked me nervously.
"I don't know. Let's sit here" I said as I pulled him into an empty car.
I shut the door, put my bag under my seat, and sat down. After a few minutes Al spoke up.
"Hey Rose"
"Yes"
"What house do you want to be sorted into?"
"Ravenclaw. You?"
"I don't know. Dad wants me to be in Griffendor, but I want to be in Hufflepuff"
"Hufflepuff?" I replied barely containing my laughter
"Yes."
I didn't reply. I just stared out the window thinking about everything. I remember when I got my wand "Yew, slightly swishy, 10 inches". I wanted to meet all the teachers, go to lessons and get my books. People said I looked exactly like my Father with my Mother's brain. I liked that. My Mother was smart and my Father was handsome. The sound of the door sliding open and someone walking in interrupted my thoughts.
"Can I sit here? Everywhere else is full." He was gorgeous, not like me. He had beautiful eyes and extremely light blonde hair.
"Um er. Sure" I said my mind coming out of a fog.
"I'm Scorpius" He said extending a hand and locking eyes with me. "Scorpius Malfoy, but you can call me Scorp."
"Hello, Scorp I'm Albus, But you can call me Al"
"Are you a Weasley?" Scorpius said looking at Al and me.
"No, I'm a Potter, but Rose is a Weasley." Al said
"Potter's boy. Wow"
Scorpius sat down sill locking eyes with me. We stared into each other's eyes for a while then Al intrupted.
"What house do you want to be sorted into Scorp?"
"Oh. My Dad wants me to be in Slytherin, but I want to be in Ravenclaw."
"Really me too" I said trying to sound casual.
"Cool" Scorpius said.
We sat in silence for a while, then the candy trolly came to our car.
"Anything from the trolly dears?" The woman said.
"Would you like anything?" Scorpius said standing up.
I shook my head, but Al got up with his coin pouch and bought almost the whole trolly.
"Would you like something?" Al asked shoving his face with a Cauldron Cake.
I shook my head again, but Scorpius grabbed my hand and put a pack of chocolate butterflies into it. I carefully opened the package and watched two tiny chocolate butterflies chase each other around. I grabbed one and put it into my mouth. While the butterfly was battling my tongue Al said "Let's go change into our robes."
