(Happy Valentines everyone! Even if I'm late XD)
Ezra dashed across to the transport as the dust began to settle. His heart was beating, and each stride brought him closer and closer to his destination. Up ahead, the ramp lowered, and Ezra leapt onto it before twisting around. He was surprised to see the princess running towards him, but smiled as he took in her gorgeous features. Loose strands of hair swayed as she ran, her hazel eyes gleaming as bright as the night stars.
Finally, she made it to the end of the ramp, and the two teens exchanged a warm gaze. "Well Princess, this is where I get off," Ezra smirked.
Leia's expression was blank, and she took a hasty step forward so they were face to face. Ezra inwardly squirmed as her hand entwined with his, blood rushing to his cheeks. "What are you-"
Suddenly, Leia closed the distance between them and their lips collided. Ezra, completely shocked and dumbfounded, just stood there for a long moment. He had never been kissed before, but boy, it seemed like a pretty amazing thing.
Awkwardly, the teen leant into the kiss and squeezed her hand affectionately. And as if under some kind of spell, the two slowly embraced each other, lost in the heat of the moment. Leia's free hand slid into Ezra's blue locks, combing through his hair soothingly while Ezra shuddered at the contact. The boy, still unfamiliar with the action, was rather hesitant. But he began melting into her touch like an ice cube in the sun.
Finally, Leia pulled back and nuzzled her head against the teen's cheek. "You take care of yourself," she whispered.
The princess reluctantly stepped back, their hands slipping out of each other's grasp and the absence of the other's body heat making them tense. Ezra's face was bright red, and his mouth was still open in awe. Leia giggled, stating "Make it look good, cadet."
A grin slithered onto Ezra's lips, and he stuttered "S-See you later Princess."
Leia nodded and smiled. "You have my permission," she said as she jumped off the ramp. "Oh, and Ezra?"
The boy hesitated, replying "Yeah?"
"Check your pocket," she added slyly, shooting him a wink that made his heart beat increase. But before Ezra even had a chance to respond, she yelled "Get your hands off me rebel!"
Ezra was still slightly shocked, but none the less, raised his blaster and set it to stun. "S-See ya," he murmured, and the princess gave him one last smirk before he pulled the trigger.
Ezra quickly turned and bolted into the cargo hold just when the Imperials recovered. The ramp closed with a hiss, and the ship swayed and tilted as it set off into the atmosphere. Ezra slumped down against the wall, tugging on his collar as he breathed heavily. But after the adrenaline began to dissipate, his blue orbs widened as he frantically searched his pockets. Finally, his fingers treaded over a piece of paper, which he hesitantly pulled out.
Though Ezra might not have been the most educated of the crew, he certainly knew what the fine words written on the slip meant, causing him to blush uncontrollably and smile with delight.
Chopper wheeled in, beeping inquisitively about what he was looking at, but Ezra quickly shoved the paper back into his pocket as he tried to hide his face. "Nothing Chop," he laughed as he stood up and brushed himself off. "Nothing that concerns you anyways."
To this day none of the crew knows what was written on the paper, but they knew he kept it under his pillow and glanced at it occasionally when he was feeling down.
But Ezra always held it close to his heart. He always would….
'Happy Valentines Ezra.
~Sincerely, your Princess.'
