Don't Break The Chain
a poem by Kali

Author's Note: Please don't flame me for this poem thing. I had just gotten three forwarded chain letters, babbling about this and that and bad luck and this poor girl with cancer. All the same, basically, but all very annoying. So... I got sarcastic... and wrote this. Please enjoy... and please don't hurt me!

Don't break it!
This letter has gone on for
Eighty years!
No, ninety!
Really!
Bad luck will come
To those who break the chain
Send this letter on!
Maybe a world record will come our way
Maybe you can make a sick child's day
Maybe we just like to forward these things
Whatever the reason--

Don't break the chain!
The chain continues
As long as you believe
That it's unlucky to not send this letter on
Don't break the chain
Cos I'm sure we'd all hate that
We know who you are
And where you live
And we'll know if you don't send it
So you had better send it

Just think:
A little girl
With cancer
Bad cancer
Leukemia
The worst kind
Is lying sick in a hospital
This girl is gonna die
She's a sad little girl
Who wants everyone to know
Just how awful it is to die
Before you go to the prom
Cos everyone knows how important the prom is
This little girl wants you
Yeah, YOU
I do mean YOU already
To send this to as many people
As you possibly can
As you ever have met
All the people on your soccer team
The people in your school
The people you saw in the Burger Queen the other day
For each person you send this to
The NCA will donate one cent
To cancer research
NCA stands for, as we all know, National Cancer Association
Or is it National Chain Association?
Whichever

Send this on!
Don't break the chain!
This girl will die!
You'll get bad luck!
We won't get the record!
Whatever the reason
Whatever the excuse
DON'T
BREAK
THE
CHAIN!!!
!!!
Thank you,
Annie & Jeff
