Chapter 1 – A New Start
Lilly's POV
I woke up to my alarm, 2:00 in the morning, on a Saturday, I groaned and woke up, and was packing for my next adventure, Las Vegas.
"Why are we going there again?" I asked, looking towards my mom,
"For a new start sweetheart," My stepmom answered, coming towards me, I always thought of her as my mom.
She twirled my hair, "You know, I think your hair looks pretty like this," she smiled,
I sighed, I was 14 years old, had long orange hair and green eyes, my stepmom wanted me to get curls done at the bottom and I agreed, she kept nagging me kindly to do it.
I smiled, "I know, can you go and see where Reena and Andria are? I need to finish packing,"
My sister's are called Andria and Reena, Andria is the oldest, she's 15 and has blonde hair and blue eyes, and Reena is 13 and has brown hair and brown eyes.
"Of course, we leave in 10 minutes," she walked away,
I smiled and quickly to my closet, I pushed all the clothes to one side and stepped in, inside was my magic books and herbs and all, I quickly went and grabbed them and packed them in, I muttered a spell so the police won't suspect anything.
"Ready to go?" Someone came behind me,
I turned and saw Reena; I smiled, "Yeah, I just hope I don't get a bow or something,"
You see, I walk out and some people stared bowing to us and I was a bit creeped out about it, I walked away and noticed a shop, I got a creepy vibe from it and walked there, when I go to buy some supplies for my spells, they say that we don't need to pay for it, like they were scared and I get the feeling were being followed, when I try to find them, I come up with nothing...
"Hiding you spell book?" Reena asked,
I nodded, Reena and Andria are witches as well, but we pretend that were normal so we can get along, we figured out our powers when we were quite young and kept it from our stepmom because we don't know if she knows or not and kept practicing them.
"We better get going, the lines are ridiculous, and we could just..." Andria trailed off,
I glared at her, "Over my dead body. Never will I allow you to unless; you use it for practising or for life threatening purposes or I'm with you there to supervise."
Andria rolled her eyes, "Kill joy." She muttered, she walked to the door and said, "Let's go."
I stood up with my suitcase and wondered, "Where are we going to find the herbs and all in Las Vegas?"
They shrugged, "I don't know, maybe we could ask the Night world." Andria shrugged,
I snorted, "They would kill us if we asked, mostly the vampires."I bought a book and it said there were lots of different species.
They nodded and walked downstairs, I looked back at my old room and sighed, I closed the light and the door.
Andria's POV
I sighed and dragged my luggage to Ferrari, we were quite rich for some reason, we always had money and my stepmom gave us a debit card but it was about to go overload with money, so now all of us have more than a bank account, 3 debit cards, 1 credit card and a load of cash. We only buy what we need though.
"Alright, get in the car; we have 2 hours till our flight takes off." My stepmom stated,
"1 hour because of all the lining up and security," Lilly said,
"Good point, we better get going." My stepmom said,
"Can I drive?" I asked, I was driving once and it was really fun.
"No!" My sisters screamed, I rolled my eyes and smirked, I walked to the passenger's seat.
They sighed, "Drama queens." I muttered,
"Hey were not the ones who drive at 100mph!" Reena stated, "I rather put my faith in Lilly and she's one year younger than you! She drives about 50mph."
"That's over the limit Lilly dear." Stepmom said sweetly,
She shrugged, "I hate to say it, but 40mph are to slow, most people go at 60, so I'm good, also I make sure they put their seatbelts on."
"I guess its ok, put how you get Andria's seatbelt on is a mystery, and I can barely get her to do it."
She smirked and looked at me, "I have my ways." She said,
I scowled, she usually put a spell on the belt that only she can remove, and it was soo annoying.
My stepmom smiled and we set off.
Reena's POV
I was reading a book about the Night World and was getting tired, I felt eye lids dropping and my book fell with a thud.
I was in a puddle of water, floating and wondering where we were,
"Reena..." Someone whispered,
I turned around, nothing was there, and "Who's there?"
"Reena..." it kept muttering,
"What do you want?" I asked nervously, the scenery changed around me were trees and plants, lights, but also familiar.
"Reena...remember your destiny my sweet..."
"What?" I asked looking around the trees, running but there was no end.
"Goodbye..." She muttered, "I will be watching."
"Don't go!" I screamed out of my dream, they all looked at me,
Lilly looked at me worriedly, "Are you ok? You kept muttering in your sleep. I tried shaking you, but you wouldn't wake, I even tried a few spells and it didn't even work!" she whispered the last few words.
"I'm fine," I said a bit less nervously, she turned around and faced the front, I sighed,
"This is not over..." she hissed in telepathy,
"Too true, who could break Lilly's spells?" Andria asked, "Although, we never encountered any witched before only one, and that was when we bought the supplies."
"Just forget it, I'll tell you later."
"You better." They both said and shut the link off.
