National Treasure II (My Version): Alls Well That Ends Well…Isn't it?

Okay, lets say the whole event took place in May, the final scene was in July.

"What do you care? You got the girl," Riley comments on Ben's turn down of the ten percent finders fee.

"That's true," Abigal and Ben say at the same time.

"Yeah, rub it in," Riley turns and yells over his shoulder, "Enjoy your spoils."

10 Months Later--Early June

Dr. Abigail Chase-Gates tiptoed carefully down the hallway of the historic mansion that her husband, Ben and she owned in Washington Heights Estates. She had heard noise coming from the kitchen, and didn't know who it could be. The noise grew louder as she came closer to the kitchen, then she cautiously looked around the opening of the kitchen.

"G-d, Riley! Don't scare me like that!" Abigail gasped in relief it was only the ever-present and hungry college student.

"Sowwy," Riley said with his mouth full of an unidentifiable substance.

"Don't you have your own apartment to raid?"

"I got lonely."

"Right, lonely, again. That's number 3 in past 4 days," Abigail said opening the cupboard and getting out a coffee cup.

Riley just shrugged in response. Being in his apartment alone lately had gotten to him, and no one could figure out why.

"Don't you have class today?"

"The last day of classes was two weeks, which is why you've seen me more this past two weeks than others."

"Oh."

Ben came in the kitchen, obviously just getting home from work. "Lonely again, Ri?"

Riley mumbled a yes with his mouth full of cereal.

"You need to do something about that," Ben said also getting a cup of coffee and kissed his wife of the cheek.

"Whatever," Riley said tiredly looking down at his now empty bowl.

The phone rang. Abigail answered the phone, "Hello?"

Seconds later she recognized the person on the other end of the line, "Hi Dad. What do you mean you can't afford to fly Jade home for the summer? Someone drove through your house? For the summer? Uh, sure, I guess, I'll ask Ben."

Abigail motioned Ben to come over, and whispered something in his ear.

"We've got enough rooms," he whispered back.

Abigail nodded, "Sure, you want me to go pick her up?"

After she got a response, she hung up and asked Riley, "You'll be okay here while Ben and I drive to DCU?"

"Yep, I'm trying to figure out what's wrong with the database coding, it keeps on refreshing or freezing lately."

"Okay, you do that," Abigail said not under standing a word of it.

Abigail and Ben went to pick up Jade, Abigail's younger sister from District of Columbia University. When Abigail was 9, her parents, her older brother and she moved to the United States from Germany. Her younger brother Jason was born 3 years later, and Miranda—who hates her first name and goes by her middle name Jade—was 2 years younger than Jason. After Abigail had gotten the job at the National Archives six years ago, Jade made up her mind that she wanted to go to college where her sister lived also meaning to be as far away from her parents as possible.

"So, where do we go?" Ben asked one they had gotten into their truck.

"East Entrance, she's already packed, but we will need the truck. She shouldn't have much, cause it cost a mint load just to fly some of her stuff out here," Abigail stated, looking through the DCU map as Ben pulled out of the driveway.

I know it is short, but this is my first try in National Treasure fanfiction. Don't worry Ian will be back. Tell me what you think of it so far.
