It was a beautiful winter day. Snow had fallen the previous night and the hospital was allowing patients to go out and enjoy it. Bucky was happier then usual, actually wanting to go out for a walk. The hospital called Steve and he was there just in time for the snow to fall again.
Steve took Bucky out in his wheelchair and as they were sitting under the snow covered trees, Bucky told Steve he loved him. Those were the last words Bucky would ever say to Steve. To anyone.
