It was a lazy day for me, I had no plans. This was unusual for me because living in the Capital there is almost always something to do. Then I heard a knock on the door. I heard "Effie, open up!" The voice belongs to none other than Haymitch Abernathy. "What do you want?" I call out from the living room. "We need to talk," he said. I got up and walked to the door "And why do we need to talk?" I said. "Just let me in," he said, I can tell he was getting annoyed with me. This amused me a little. "Fine," I said as I started to unlock the door to my apartment. I opened the door and saw him. "Haymitch," I said flatly, "Effie," he muttered clearly feeling nervous."Effie you have to at least listen to me for a minute, please." He had a sense of urgency in his voice, he was almost pleading. This made me nervous because it was unlike him to be so tense. "Haymitch what's wrong, please tell me!" I said as calmly as I could. "I can't," he said. The nerve of some people! He showed up at my door acting all weird and refuses to answer what I think is a completely reasonable question. "I'm sorry, I just can't tell you, but you have to listen to me!" he said . "No," I said crossing my arms over my chest. "Effie, please, you're in danger!" His voice rose to a shout. "You have to come with me, please." "Why do I have to come with you?" I snapped. ¨Because, I-I, because... because… for the love of Panem Effie I love you!¨ he shouted . I felt my heart start to race and my head start to spin. Haymitch just said he loved me.
