Bakura hated it. he hated being stuck in Ryou's body. Yes he liked the boy, even loved him, but he wanted a body of his own. He knew it was possible because all of the other Yami's had their own bodies. Even Seth had come to a human form. But until he could find a way to create one he was stuck.
Ryou had tried helping too, but none of their ideas seemed to work. It was until two weeks later when both had about given up that Bakura saw it.
Quite literally he saw it. He had set Diabound to protect Ryou when he wasn't able to and that was when the idea hit him. He could use Diabounds energy and his powers to create a body for himself.
"I promise." Bakura said right before he began the spell that would give him a body. "I promise that i will stay with you forever, little Ryou, now let me make a body for myself." and with that he started to make himself a body.
After many words that Ryou could not understand he felt a pull. He could feel the spell pulling Bakura from his body. Bakura had told him not to fight the motion so he didn't and only when he felt empty, devoid of Bakuras essence in his body did he look up. Bakura was almost whole. he still was a little fuzzy around the edges but his main shape could be seen. Ryou turned to Diabound. The monster was almost completely gone, only a faint outline could be seen. And moments later when Diabound was gone did Ryou once again look at Bakura. The man was naked and tan all over, his long white hair gleamed with an eerie glow of life.
Ryou stared at the man he had only heard descriptions of and knew that all were wrong. He was taller and not as muscular as Marik had said, and he was much more eloquent than Seth had said. Something about Bakura drew Ryou to him and at the same time pushed him away. He stood stock still as Bakura inspected his new body. Bakura turned to look at Ryou and as he decided to walk towards him so did the other for at Bakuras second step he fell landing on his hands and knees. His limbs were not yet used to supporting him so he had to wait till they could support him.
It was at that moment that Ryou was glad that Bakura had taken his body on those long runs every morning and had mad him lift some weights. It had been torture on his weak body and soon he was complaining whenever he could but now he was glad for the extra strength that he wouldn't have normally had.
