A/N: sniff I miss them. Johnny and Dally, I mean…I love them both to bits, and I hated how they died. Their relationship was so sweet, and it makes me cry to know just how much Johnny meant to Dally, and visa versa. Friendship like that is so rare nowadays. I wrote this in class today while I was thinking about them.

Johnny Cade and Dallas 'Dally' Winston were greasers. Johnny was 16, had black hair and eyes, and dark tanned skin. Dally was 17, had white blonde hair, ice blue eyes, and pale skin. Johnny was the pet of the gang; Dally was the worst of the gang.
Johnny grew up in a home where his father got drunk and beat him, and his mother would scream at him so loud the whole neighborhood could hear her; Dally lived in New York for awhile and was first arrested when he was 10, his parents never caring what happened to him. Johnny stayed soft; Dally got hard.
Johnny got beaten up by Soc's, 4 on 1, and he was defenseless; that's when he started carrying a switch blade. Dally always carried a switch blade, and never got beaten bad if he got jumped; Soc's were afraid of Dally.
Johnny killed a Soc, but he hadn't wanted to do it; it was self defense. Dally had never killed a man, although he could've if he'd wanted to. Johnny was always jumpy and nervous, and Dally was cool and calm. Johnny was friends with everyone; Dally was friends with no one.
Johnny worshipped Dally; he was tough and tuff, and he respected him. He loved him. Dally took care of Johnny, like everyone did. He protected him as best as he could, and never fought with him. He never hit Johnny. He loved Johnny more than anyone else in the world; Johnny was the only person he had.
Johnny died a hero, saving kids from a burning church, pushing Ponyboy out the window before he got hurt. The roof fell on Johnny's back, breaking it and paralyzing him from the waist down. He got third degree burns all over his body before Dally could get him out. He died in the hospital, happy, because he had finally gotten what he always wanted. Dally had been proud of him, and called him tuff. That was the highest praise he could've ever hoped for from his hero.
Dally broke when Johnny died. Johnny was all Dally had, so when he was gone, Dally decided to go with him. He robbed a grocery store with an unloaded gun, called Darry to explain what happened, and went to the lot. That's where the police found him. That's where Dally committed suicide. He aimed his heater at the cops. They shot him, and he died with a smile on his face. He was going to join Johnny, where ever he was. Dally died gallantly under a street light.
Johnny had had everybody; Dally had had no one but Johnny. Johnny would always be remembered as a hero; Dally would always be remembered as a hood. Johnny had wanted Dally to watch a sunset and realize how beautiful it was; Dally couldn't see any beauty in the world after Johnny died. Johnny wanted Dally to live; Dally couldn't live without Johnny. Johnny was quiet and caring, and the only one who had really understood Dally; Dally was cold and obnoxious at times, and he was the only one who lived solely for Johnny.
Johnny and Dally were like brothers. They knew each other, could be happy around each other, and most of all, they loved each other more than anyone else.
