"Dulland," Hatter abruptly announced in the middle of a cup of tea one afternoon, and Alice had to stare at him in confusement over the top of her book while she processed what he said through his thick accent.

"What?" she un-eloquently commented when her mind came up empty handed.

"Dulland," Hatter repeated, "It's what we should call this world of yours. The whole 'Earth' nonsense is just unimaginative, and Oysterland has too many syllables for anyone's liking. But Dulland, well that just rolls off the tongue doesn't it? And it compliments Wonderland perfectly."

Alice's face had become a look of astonishment and speculation all rolled into one as he informed her of this decree of his, before raising an eyebrow challengingly at him, "So you're saying this world is boring then?"

He waved his hand dismissively as he finished off his tea, "No you missed the point entirely. What I'm saying is it that compared to Wonderland; an aptly described world filled with 'wonders', this place is just dull by comparison. I mean, look at your cities. Nothing but grays and browns on top of other shades of grays and browns! There's no excitement! No bit of...well...wonder!"

"Have you seen some of the people out there at night?" she rebutted, "I'd say a fair bit of them are fairly 'wonder inducing', or at least induced on their own wonder. And what about the seven natural or man made wonders of the world? What about them?"

"Doesn't count in the first part since you need an exception to the rule to make a rule, and your lot hasn't built anything that's even remotely akin to a true wonder when compared to Wonderland in the second part. Brilliant, you can make a triangle. Let me know when someone makes an upside down one out of cards yeah?"

Alice glared slightly at Hatter's dismissals of her world, while he met her look with a smug, challenging one of his own. The pair held their gaze for a full minute of silence before Alice let of a 'humph' and went back to her book, "I refuse to call it dull land on principle alone."

"You're always shooting down my best ideas, you know that don't you?"

Author's Comments: I don't typically do drabbles but this was inspired suddenly during a pm/review from Sony Boy about what to call our world in comparison to Wonderland, and liked it so much that it was requested I share it with all of you as well. ^_^ Hope it brought you a smile and thanks for reading!
