A shakespearean sonnet I wrote for school. I hate writing romantic poems, but I love the Miroku Sango relationship, and wanted to express it in some creative form, so I jumped at the chance to do so. This is written from Miroku's point of view. Please tell me if this is an accurate (or at least plausible) portrayal of some of his feelings for her. -WO
To Become A Man
A boy became the man who now you see
By spending months and moments at your side.
I learned the worth of sensitivity
That night you let me hold you when you cried.
Your strength can often cause me to forget
The woman sharing half the warrior's soul.
I'm touched whenever I'm the one you let
Observe and fill in every loss-dug hole.
The rarity with which you show your tears,
And let your insecurities be seen,
Makes vulnerable moments much more dear;
Their witness I am honoured to have been.
Explored emotionally foreign lands:
Along the way, this boy became a man.
Feedback is appreciated. (This was written for a Writer's Craft class after all.) I don't own any of the fictional parties involved; I merely draw upon more creative people's brainchildren for inspiration. God bless you.
