Author's Note
Man...It felt like just yesterday we finished up that prologue…
Delta: Technically it was just yesterday, but who knows by the time this comes out.
...You ruin everything for me that brings even the most remote sense of joy. BUT OUTSIDE OF THAT, welcome everyone to the newest(technically 2nd) season of Fuzzy Memories: Total Drama!
Delta: Yep, so sit back and enjoy the new show!
Here's a disclaimer though…
This is the THIRD story in the Fuzzy Memories series. It's preferable that you read the last two stories before this one, in order to know what's actually going on. Thank you, and enjoy.
"Auckland."
The camera faded into a shot of a series of large, bright green mountains, where foliage ran rampant and birds flew by, and far below, a herd of Wooloo passed by. And just over the horizon stood a tall, shining city, where one particularly large tower went all the way up towards the clouds above.
"The most populated city of New Zealand, the city of sails, and home to the largest standing building in the Southern Hemisphere."
The shot suddenly changed to that of an airport, where a plane began to descend in the distance. Panning down, it revealed a petite fox with icy blue fur, dark dazzling blue eyes, and an icy crest on top of her head. The Glaceon smiled confidently at the camera before her, before continuing, "In just five minutes, thirty-six competitors of varying backgrounds, ages, and skill will be arriving at this airport to meet me, Amber Chanel-"
The woman was abruptly pushed to the side, as a large, fiery red and yellow fire-type with two cannons for arms came into view, sporting a rather wide grin on his large lips, "And me, Coonie!" With a laugh, the Magmortar stood in front of the camera with a smirk...Only to freeze up in fear, as he slowly began to shake.
After a few moments, Coonie was grabbed onto by a large bird and put off to the side. Walking in front of the camera now, a tall, red chicken-like figure stood, with bright yellow shaggy feathers covering the bottom of her pant-like legs and beige colored feathers surrounding her chest and abdomen, flowing down to her mid-back like hair. The Blaziken stood with a stern look on her face, stating firmly, "Upon their arrival, these contestants will embark on a forty leg race around the world. Can they handle the pressure? Well, we'll just have to find out, won't we?" She smirked at the camera, continuing with, "I'm your host, Aubrey Fernández."
Amber forced a smile at this, before turning her attention back towards the camera, "And this is…" Pausing for a moment, she soon said, "Total Drama 'Round the World We Go-" She cut herself off in silence, as she looked off to the side, "Wait, we're calling it that?"
The shot cutaway to that of the interior of a plane. In one of the passengers sat a white, sloth-like Pokemon who had a tuft of red fur on his forehead, and a brown lower jaw. He overall looked pretty excited but seemed to be distracting himself with one of the flight's magazines.
"Wyatt Oldring, a photographer from Las Vegas, Nevada."
The Vigoroth than appeared in a new area, similar to the confessional of last season. Only, unlike last time, the contestant was sitting on a seat just out of view, and a background was behind them that showcased a map of the planet.
Wyatt looked off to the right with a friendly grin, snapping a picture of something, before holding a thumb up while saying, "Yo, I am so pumped to be on this show! I'm a pretty friendly guy, I like taking pictures of anything that inspires me, and overall I just wanna travel around and get to know people."
As he was saying this, he then cast the camera a smirk, "Especially any girls in this game," he sent the camera two finger guns at this while winking...Only for him to let out a groan soon after, "Well...That sounded more pathetic than that should have…"
However, the Vigoroth flinched upon hearing an abrupt scream from behind him. Looking back, he saw a large, bright yellow humanoid-gorilla like Pokemon, who had black stripes surrounding his body, deep red eyes, and two cable-like tails.
"Thunder von Herr, a professional boxer from Chicago."
The boxer in question continued to cheer at the in-flight TV in front of him...Only to notice the flight attendant scowling at him, which caused him to sheepishly throw down his hands in embarrassment.
The Electivire flexed a single arm in front of the camera, letting out a low chuckle while boasting, "Most of you might know of me, but for those who don't, the name's Thunder," he smirked mocking at the camera, as his fists were suddenly engulfed in electricity, "Cause that's what I bring in every fight I get into!"
With a mocking, ego-filled laugh, he continued with, "I'm pretty well-known for my zero loss record, and I'm pretty sure a stupid game show won't be nearly as hard as actually throwing punches." He pointed at the camera with a wicked grin, "Look out Total Drama losers, cause Thunder...Is gonna bring the thunder!" With another laugh, he raised his hands high...Only to accidentally shoot out an electric attack. His pupils shrunk as he stared up at the ceiling, asking soon after, "...You guys can fix that, right?"
Looking over at the gorilla in annoyance, a certain dinosaur let out a low groan. He was a large, gray-colored reptilian-like figure, with some lighter gray areas and red and yellow patterns. The most notable trait from him was his tired demeanor and his large, dull-colored scales surrounding his body.
"Brick Dragmire, an office worker from Hell's Kitchen, Manhattan, and a returnee from our first season!"
He continued to look out the window in silence as the camera got closer and closer to his face...Only for him to look back with a glare, "Get that thing out of my face."
Folding his arms over his chest, Brick gave the camera a stern look, "Look, the only reason I'm here is that...I don't want Bari to worry about me. I would have never agreed to this if it didn't mean he'd be uncomfortable."
Staying silent for a moment, he eventually muttered, "And not gonna lie...A vacation away from work isn't so bad either."
Sitting in the seat behind the Kommo-o, a short, white-haired feline with a tuft of blue fur on her head, along with a curled, blue scarf-like tuft of fur around her neck. She was wearing a black scarf around her neck. As the Meowstic simply sat in place, completely unmoving, she didn't even spare the camera a glance or make a single sound.
"Violet Caputo, a fortune teller-"
Suddenly the cat turned towards the camera with glowing eyes, as she began to stare it down in hatred.
Violet leaned her head against her arm in annoyance, as she let out a reluctant sigh, "...I really don't want to be here. I honestly have no idea how he convinced me to come here." As she was saying this though...A smile crept onto her face, "...Maybe it's his eyes…"
However, just as quickly she turned towards the camera, "If you don't edit that out, I will find you."
As the cameraman ran as fast as physically possible away from the cat, he ended up tripping over himself, sending himself and the camera falling to the floor. Upon landing flat on his face, the camera was picked up by someone, who held it up to their face with a smirk. The figure was a bipedal plant-like Pokemon, with hair made out of white rose petals, and had a leafy green cape with a yellow collar-like bangle holding it up. He had a mask around his face, and bouquets for hands, the left being blue while the right was red.
"Casper Kroll, a gardener from Maryland."
Casper sat in the chair in A..."Suggestive" manner, as he smirked at the camera, "Hey you bunch of losers, freaks, and chronic masturbators around the world, the names...Well, you already know it." With a giggle, he continued with a naughty grin, "I'm here to win. And trust me, I plan to do so by any means possible."
Blowing the camera a kiss, the Roserade gave it a wave as he leaned back into the seat, "Hope you'll all root for me."
Swiping his camera back from the grass type, the cameraman continued down the lane, spotting a certain two contestants next to each other. One was a light blue aquatic fish-like fox with three fins on his head, two on the side and one on top, along with a dark blue colored ridge going down from his head to his split tail fin. He was currently reading a book, adjusting his new glasses a few times as he did this.
Beside him, a brown colored bipedal girl was saying some sort of joke to him, as she nudged his arm a few times with a laugh. She had a puffy mane of cotton white fur growing from the top of her head and surrounding the entire back area of her body, resembling hair in some way. She had bright, beady orange eyes and a pair of green-colored lobes shaped like curled horns.
"Ace and Ashley Kauffman, brother and sister from Utah."
As the Whimsicott continued to poke at her brother, he eventually slammed his book shut to fully turn towards her with a look of complete annoyance, as all she could offer him was a sheepish grin.
Slinging an arm around her brother's shoulders, Ashley gave the camera a wide grin, "That's right, I managed to convince my brother, who is a major stick-in-the-mud might I add, to rejoin the show!"
Slowly turning towards her with a deadpan look, he pinched the bridge of his nose while muttering, "More like you forced me to come back on this show because apparently I'm 'too moody and I need to get out more'."
Blinking for a moment, she simply laughed it off, "We're happy to be on the show!"
The two were interrupted though by an obnoxiously loud belch. The two, along with the cameraman, looked towards the seat behind them...Only to see the contestant in said seat was fast asleep, and in one of her hands was a bottle of vodka. She was a tan colored feline with purple ears, that had three tufts poking out from the tips, and a purple ruff-like collar around her neck that had four pins sticking out from it.
"...Um...Penny Marchi, who is...Currently jobless...How'd she get on this show?"
Penny didn't even bother staring at the camera as she downed an entire bottle of vodka in front of it...In five seconds. With a relaxed sigh, she threw it off-screen, and after hearing the sound of glass shattering, said, "Listen 'ya bunch of geeks watching this stupid show, I don't really give a damn about anything going on at the moment. In fact, I'm pretty sure I joined this show while I was on a hangover." She let out a short laugh soon after, "Man, good times."
Shaking her head, she continued as the Delcatty leaned further back in the seat, "Basically, don't get comfortable having me around, cause trust me, I ain't staying on a show for nerds any longer than I have to! I'll just grab the million when I can and get out while still got some credibility left."
Similarly, the contestant sitting next to her, who seemed to have drunk out of the same bottle, was practically unconscious against the window. He had a faded black body, long pointed ears, and a bushy tail. The most noticeable trait about him was the fact that he had blue rings on his forehead and legs, along with blue stripes on his tail and ears.
"Kaden Pastel, he's...Uh...Probably something too."
Staring up at the camera with tired, golden yellow eyes, a low rumble erupted from his throat, as Kaden muttered, "Why did I decide to c-come back?"
Spacing out for a moment, he eventually gave a half shrug, "...I don't know. I don't have anything better to do, but let's face it...I don't stand a chance here."
Looking on at the two nearby in slight disgust, a woman could barely stop herself from throwing up at the sight of the Umbreon's alcohol-drenched fur. She was a tall, slender feline with purple colored fur that had yellow rosettes speckled around it. Her pink 'mask' covered the upper part of her face, though it still showcased her bright green eyes.
"Veronica Doherty, a fashion model from Queens, New York."
Upon noticing the camera was on her, the Liepard quickly dropped her look of disgust, in exchange for giving it a quick pose and a wink, "Hey there~"
Veronica patted the side of her face with a makeup brush, as she rolled her eyes, "Honestly, I'm practically royalty compared to most of these people, so to say I have some high expectations for myself is a bit of an understatement."
Snapping shut her miniature mirror, she began to give the camera a confident smile, "So yeah, I'm gonna win. After all," she then posed again, "When you look this good, you have to be a winner."
At the very back of the plane, the last pair of contestants were seemingly looking at a travel magazine together. The taller of the two was a psychic humanoid-like Pokemon that looked to be wearing a long dress of sorts, and while she was mostly white in color, her hair and arms were green. She also had a bright red heart piece in the middle of her chest, and her bright red eyes were shining at something from the magazine.
Next to her, was a thin, yellow mantis-like insect, with a broad, split leaf surrounding the back of her head. She had red, beady eyes and two sharp leaf-like scythes for hands.
"Kanaya Wells and Isabella Flame, a kindergarten teacher and an actress respectively from Hood River, Oregon."
Smiling brightly at the camera in front of them, Kanaya pulled her girlfriend into a tight hug while cheerfully saying, "Doesn't it feel so great to be back, Isabel? It's just like before, back on the island!"
Flinching at the hug, she nodded slowly, before saying, "Yeah, except unlike a gross bathroom, we're in..." Looking around for a moment, she deadpanned, "A quickly cobbled together backlot stage."
Blinking from her words, the Gardevoir let out a small laugh while holding her tighter, "We're going to have so much fun!"
In a new plane, sitting at the very front of the plane, a contestant was currently staring out one of the windows in awe and excitement, using his hind legs to push his short body up just enough to look out it. He was a small, fox-like Pokemon with pale colored fur, a white muzzle, and dark orange eyes.
"Hazel Kingston, a street magician from Paris, France."
Looking out at the clouds passing by, the Fennekin let out a small gasp, before smiling as he pulled out a tiny, black wand, tapping the glass with it while muttering something inaudible under his breath.
Waving his wand up in the air, Hazel gave the camera a smug smirk, "Greetings viewers around the world, I am the Amazing Hazel! I am the best, and most famous magician in the world!"
Waving his wand around, he cheerfully added, "This competition will be a piece of cake for me, yes it will for my name isn't-" His wand suddenly slipped from his grasp, landing on the floor as he peered down in worry, "A-Alexander!"
Sitting in the seat across from the energetic fox, a man readjusted his sunglasses, as he stared out his own window in peace, leaning against the wall in relaxation. He was a grey, muscular Pokemon that had a reptilian-like face with a short snout, and three brown ridges on top of his head. He was also still wearing that leather jacket of his.
"Chad Bridgewood, a softball coach from Austin, Texas."
Chad stared at the camera with a bright, confident smile, as he gave it a peace sign, "Sup dudes and dudettes all around the world...I'm back!" With a laugh, he continued with, "Admittedly, I've sorta been out of the public eye for some time, but now I'm ready to show the world that nothing can stop a Bridgewood."
He began to smirk at the camera, "I may have fallen a little below the victory last time, but this time, nothing is getting in my way!" He stood up, before beginning to flex his muscles, "Victory is totally gonna be mine, bros!"
Sitting just behind the Machoke, an almost eerily quiet woman simply sat in her seat quietly, not doing anything of any real interest at all in fact. She was a fox-like Pokemon with thick, golden fur and deep red eyes. She had a mane of much thicker fur around her neck and down to her chest, a fluffy crest of fur on top of her head, and nine, fluffy tails.
"Cynthia DeLucca...We don't know where's she has been or what she's been doing."
The Ninetales glanced around at her surroundings for a moment, before looking forward at the seat in front of her with a neutral expression.
Cynthia stared into the camera in silence...Before a small smile formed on her face, "It sure has been some time since I've competed in a show like before...It feels nice."
Giving the camera a look, she added, "I remember my mistakes from back then, and hopefully this time I can correct them...It certainly will give me a better chance at winning, and I am determined to win this time." Soon after...She began to look away, "...I need to...I have a lot of things to make up for."
A couple of seats away from her, a certain dinosaur took up two seats all on his own, while a cat lay on his back and was seemingly completely passed out on it, which he oddly didn't seem to mind, or at least not care about much. The cat's fur was a light blue-grey color, though her arms were dyed black, down to her paws. Her ears were also black in color, and had multiple piercings on them, though they weren't as noticeable as the golden coin on her head.
The dinosaur beneath her was tan in color and had a grey, square-shaped head that resembled a castle wall. He had golden yellow eyes, and four large tusk-like teeth sticking out from his mouth.
"Alluselia Gates and Benson Isotope, a rockstar and her manager from Memphis, Tennessee."
Tinkering with her guitar, Alia leaned against the Bastiodon while chuckling out, "You know, this is kinda surreal, isn't it? Like, last time we both hated each other's guts but now...We're like best bros!"
He shrugged at this, as he began to smile almost nostalgically, "Honestly, feels more like a circle in my opinion," He began to look off to the side, "Almost like it's the next part of our character arc, as we transition from our previous roles into our new ones, leading to things we never could have expected-"
Staring at him in silence for a moment, the Alolan Meowth soon deadpanned, "Yeah...This is boring," strumming her guitar mid-sentence, she turned to give the camera a single peace sign while saying, "Anyways, I hope you dudes root for us...Or me. It's totally cool if it's just me." Benson gave her a quick glare for that.
Across from them, a large, intimidating man gave them a suspicious glare, before looking down at the book he had. He was a tall, magenta centipede, with a smooth looking dark gray underside. He had long, slightly bent horns on top of his head, and multiple teardrop-shaped rings adorning the side of his long body.
"Axel Droog, a recently released convict from Las Angeles, California."
Soon after the announcement, he let out a low camera at the camera in front of him.
The Scolipede simply stared at the camera for a moment, eventually saying, "Listen, you guys don't need to know jack about me. So let's just say I'm here to win and let it be the end of it." With that, he began to walk off the set, notably getting some pushback from some of the staff on the way out.
A few seats back, a man was flipping through the pages of his comic, while in the seat next to him, another one was relaxing against his seat, seemingly drifting off. The larger of the two was a tall, bubble-headed arachnoid Pokemon, that had six long legs that looked to be gray and yellow in color.
Beside him, a cicada-like Pokemon with two pairs of wings. Most of his body was black with accents of yellow and gray, though his head was mostly yellow.
"Alfred Hill and Nedrick Kite, best friends and total nerds." The two looked up at this in confusion, seemingly slightly insulted, "Oops...Sorry."
The two nerds in question looked at the camera with bright smiles, with Alfred soon saying, "Sucks that Zetsu couldn't compete alongside us, but honestly, I'm just glad I'm not gonna be completely alone in this."
Nedrick nodded at this, following it up with, "And besides, the dude nearly won last time. This time, it's our time to shine!" The two high-fived at this...Only for the Ninjask to painfully retract his hand, "Ah!"
Alfred cringed at this, before giving him a sheepish smile, "Oh yeah...Sorry, can really fix that I have...Well," he revealed his pointed spider legs, "Yeah…"
Across from them, a young woman was looking down at the in-flight movie, her eyes seemingly shining as she looked on. She was a bipedal, insectoid with a red metallic body. She had golden colored eyes and two large pincers for hands.
"Sylvia Columbo, a police officer from Detroit, Michigan."
Staring at the movie in interest, she leaned closer to it while muttering under her breath, "It's the butler...The butler did it!" Upon exclaiming this, she suddenly clamped her mouth shut as she received some stares, causing her to slowly slide back into her seat with an apologetic smile.
Flashing the camera a wide grin, Sylvia quickly gave it a salute, "Greetings...Uh...World? I'm really excited to be here, and honestly really glad too!"
Rubbing the back of her head, she mumbled, "The chief back home gave me an um...Extended vacation of sorts after...Some words were exchanged, so…" Turning back to the camera with a smile, she cheerfully said, "I have a chance to compete and meet new people. Maybe I'll even win too, but I guess we'll see about that, huh?"
Right behind her, the contestant couldn't help but give the Scizor a look. The gecko was mostly green in color, though she had a red underbelly and a long, dark green leaf extending out from the top of her head. She had her arms folded across her chest as she turned away with a low grumble.
"Sage Casentini, a personal trainer from Sacramento, California."
Glancing off to the side, Sage let out a low sigh, "I'm not sure if joining this was the right call or not, but...I'm willing to give this another shot. I'm...I'm different than how I was six years ago, and maybe even know I can make it further."
Looking down, she muttered, "At least, that's what I hope to achieve. There's definitely a lot more people, new ones who I don't know…"
At the very back of the plane, one of the smaller contestants was currently resting her against the window while sleeping...Though her eyes were wide open. She was a slate gray fox, with pointed ears, a tufty tail, a scruff of black fur around her neck and light blue accents.
"Minty Mendoza, a college drop-out from Ohio."
The Shiny Zorua let out a low snore, muttering in her sleep, "Crazy raccoons stole my pineapple...Polka dot camels swapped spit with wolf cubs...Dinkleberg…"
Rubbing her eyes in exhaustion, Minty gave the camera a half-effort wave, "Heyo people of the world outside Ohio, which...Up until a day ago, I didn't know existed." With a laugh, she gave it a smile, "Honestly, I don't care much about winning, but I promised some pals of mine back home to bring back something, so...Gonna try and do that at least."
She let out another laugh, as she looked off to the side...Only for her pupils to shrink in shock, "Dude...There's a bunch of guys with cameras over there!" She looked back at the camera, "Is this...Is this the danger of paparazzi my momma warned me about?"
Across from Minty, another contestant was throwing a few pretzels in her direction, seemingly trying to aim for her mouth. She resembled a lampshade in appearance with a clear, spherical head that contained a single blue flame, and beady yellow eyes.
"Lorraine Michalka, a high school student from Slovakia."
She continued to throw more and more pretzels, before eventually finally succeeding and throwing one right into the shiny's mouth, causing the fox to abruptly gag, and fall to the ground. The Lampent pumped her fist at this, "Yes!"
Rubbing her arms together, Lorraine let out a low, yet dark chuckle while saying, "Honestly, I am so glad I was chosen to be on this show. There are so many people here...That I can actually torment and pull pranks on!"
Spinning around, she gave the camera a wide grin, "Watch out world, because you're going to be seeing a lot from me...Or, at least hear a lot about me. People tend to complain when I ruin their day."
On the third and final plane, near the front of it, a surprisingly tall woman was looking down at herself, seemingly in disappointment. She was a long, slim-bodied ferret with cream-colored fur and light brown stripes going down her body.
"Freya Lynn, a retail worker from-"
The Furret turned and glared at the camera, "Just shut up already."
With a groan, the ferret simply glared at the camera, "So...Admittedly, I've developed a few anger issues…" Upon saying this, her face began to soften, "...Which is honestly part of the reason I came here. I sorta just need to get away from life for a bit, maybe find out something about myself along the way."
She began to scowl, "And yes, I know I didn't last long last time, but this time, things will be different!" As soon as she said this, her face paled, "...Because if they aren't...I'm gonna have to find a new job...Because I said some very choice words to my boss."
Behind her, an abnormally large bat was on his phone, muttering his words as quietly as possible so nobody could make them out. He was a large, purple bat with a round, oval-like body, long pointed ears and two pairs of wings.
"Izaya Kashiwagi, Juvia's boyfriend."
He immediately scowled at this, before looking away soon after to get back to his business.
The Crobat simply stared down the camera, stating, "I'm going to win. I'm going to make sure Juvia and I don't have to rely on any additional funds, and if anybody tries to stop me." He began to smirk, "I'll show them exactly what happens if you cross dangerous men."
With a low chuckle, the camera slowly began to glitch out.
Across from him, a woman was currently whittling at a small wooden block, seemingly trying to turn it into a stake of some sort. She had a dark blue-black body that was mostly covered with white, fluffy fur, though her face, tail, and claws still stood out. The most noticeable trait on her was the single, scythe-shaped horn on her head.
"Abigail Koba, a bodyguard from Tokyo, Japan."
The Absol looked over her handy work for a moment...Before letting out a groan and throwing it off to the side, "Dammit…"
Abigail gave the camera a confident though annoyed look, stating, "Just for the record, I was trying to make new throwing knives for myself. Security wouldn't let me keep mine, so as soon as I got on the plane I got to work making a new one for myself."
As she said this, she prepared to whittle herself another knife, "The only issue is...It's really hard to get it just right."
Sitting just behind the Absol, another contestant was currently using the ceiling as a pull-up bar...But was having difficulties due to his small size. He was a small, black cat with a red muzzle, along with four red stripes going down his legs and forehead.
"Walter Barrett, a college student from Dortmund, Germany."
The Litten continued to do the pull-ups and was seemingly beginning to find a rhythm for them...Only to abruptly lose his grip, causing him to let go and fall straight to the floor.
Staring up at the camera with a determined expression, Walter straightened out his posture, "I plan on winning this competition, mostly to show pride for the great country of Deutschland, so many may acknowledge it as the greatest country on Earth, while also showing off my skills as a simple Dutchie."
Soon after, he twitched for a moment while saying, "Maybe once I do this, then the others will acknowledge Deutschland as it's proper name. Seriously, why does everyone call it Germany, when it's not?! Is it so hard to recognize it by it's given name?"
Getting up and walking towards the fallen kitten, as she looked down at him in worry. She was a plant-like humanoid with a scarlet flower on top of her head, and long leaves adorning the lower part of her body like a skirt.
"Franci Margita, the heir to a successful Austrian bakery business."
The Lilligant attempted to reach out to him, though he simply jumped back up to his feet, and giving her a look he moved back to his position. Blinking at this, she gave him a small smile, before settling back in her seat with a sigh.
Smiling up at the camera, Franci gave it a soft wave, "Hello cameraman, it is such a delight to be apart of this show. There are so many new people here, all who seem so nice and I can't wait until we learn more of this competition."
Giving it a smile, she added, "I hope that everyone can play a safe, and fair game together."
Nearby, another contestant remained in his seat, seemingly fiddling with some kind of device in his hands. He was a tall, cyan Pokemon with a soft body. His eyes were scrunched up and the upper part of his lip was zigzag in shape. He was also wearing a black lab coat, along with a pair of similarly black goggles.
"Xavier Ennis, a high school student and boy genius from Westport, Ireland."
The Wobbuffet looked up this, before giving the camera an almost sadistic smirk.
Xavier continued to tinker with the device, which was now revealed to be a small metallic cube, as he looked up at the camera with a look of pride, "When I was only five-years-old, I single-handedly created an EMP powerful enough to knock out all the power on my block," his smirk grew wider, "When I was ten, it knocked out the entire town's power."
He turned his attention fully towards the camera, the smirk giving him a very punchable face, "So, come at me with all you got Total Drama, because with my mind, I promise...I'm ready for anything.
Across from him, another surprisingly large bat was sitting in her seat, though the difference was that while Izaya was doing something...This bat was out cold in sleep. She was a large, draconic looking wyvern, that had a mostly black colored body, though her large wings and underbelly had some accents of purple. The most notable features on her were the scruff of gray fur around her neck and chest, and the two large speaker-like ears on her head.
"Nikki Thunderman, a movie theater employee from Manhattan, New York."
The Noivern opened her eyes at this, immediately catching sight of the cameras as she began to glare at them, before casting a single finger in front of it.
Stretching her body, Nikki gave the camera a bored look, "Yeah, there's not much to say about me. I'm not that interesting, and even if I was...I still wouldn't say a thing to a bunch of complete strangers who have nothing better to do than watch television."
Thinking for a moment, she placed a hand under her chin in thought, "...That was actually pretty hypocritical of me…" After a moment of thinking, she eventually gave an impassive shrug, "Eh, whatever. Not like anyone cares."
Sitting in his own seat with his arms crossed right behind the bat, the male stared out the windows with eyes full of determination and pride. He was a large, blue-purple vampire bat, with two large pincers for hands, glowing golden yellow eyes, and a long, sharp two-pointed stinger for a tail.
"Akira Herodotos, royalty from a rich family in Mongolia."
The Gliscor smirked at the camera, before letting out a loud, obnoxious laugh, "Yes fools, I have indeed decided to grace this ridiculous show with my everlasting presence." He began to look off to the side, as if stripping the audience of the right to see him, "Once I heard this show would be offering money to a bunch of plebians, I knew it was fully within my right to stop such action from occurring."
His smirk only grew wider, "And trust me...I will be stopping it." He began to laugh once more, this time even louder."
Seated a few seats away from the Gliscor, a young woman was currently tightening her seatbelt with a terrified expression. She was a gray colored hyena with patches of black fur going down from her head to her black, bushy tail. She had bright red eyes and black markings beneath them.
"Jane Callies, a college student from Maine."
Gripping onto the seat she was on, the Mightyena mindlessly began to claw at it while mumbling to herself, "E-Everything is okay...I'm not going to die...I'm not going to die…"
Blowing into a brown paper bag, Jane eventually pulled away from it while muttering, "O-Oh dear...I um...I d-don't do too well with airplanes. I-I just don't know with them, like the plane can run out of fuel, or the pilots can fall asleep while on the wheel, or we can be attacked b-by a flock of angry Pelippers?!"
Breathing out deeply, she placed a paw against her chest while letting out a low groan, "I-I joined this show to get over my s-stupid paranoia b-but it was easier said than done...I-I don't know what I'm going to-" The plane shook a little, causing her to let out a petrified scream.
At the back of the plane, a young couple was currently looking out the window...Or at least one of them was, while the larger of the two was far more busy carving something into the back wall. The bigger ghost was an entity of purple fog that had multiple glowing green orbs surrounding his face.
Beside him, was a small black-bodied ghost, that was mostly covered by the gray Pikachu colored costume she was wearing, though her small, beady black eyes poked out from the bottom part of the costume itself.
"Doc and Mimi, a pair of punks from Renton, Washington."
Looking up at the camera, Mimi rose a brow at it, "Seriously, calling us 'punks' was the best you could really say about us? I don't really consider us as…" Glancing over at the Spiritomb beside her, she deadpanned, "Nevermind, I can see it."
Doc couldn't help but grin at this, "Eh, who cares. If they say we're punks," his expression slowly turned more and more wicked, "How about we be just that…"
Blinking at this, the Mimikyu eventually shrugged, "Sure, why not."
Even further back, in the bathroom of the plane...The contestant was not doing that but instead seemed to be trying to tear out the light in it. He was a tall, dark blue landshark with three fins, two on his elbows and one, larger one on his back. He had two sharp talons for hands, and a single golden star in the middle of his forehead.
"Merle Pegg, an apocalypse prepper from the wilderness of Alaska."
Glancing back at the camera, the Garchomp glowered for a moment, before pulling the light out completely.
Inspecting the lightbulb in his grasp, Merle gave the camera an unimpressed stare, "I'm not here to talk about myself, or any others for that matter. I just need to do whatever I need to do to win this competition."
Turning fully towards the camera, he added, "I'm more than capable of fending for myself, and I can handle just about anything thrown at me. I'm going to win this game, and nothing will stop me."
Once the large plane landed on the runway, the large group of contestants made their way out of the airport, specifically walking towards the three hosts standing just outside of the doors.
However, unlike before on the plane, most of the contestants were now wearing backpacks(each one a different color) or had other ways of carrying items, and some had even added some clothing, with Nedrick now wearing a grey beanie for example. Though, some contestants, such as the ghosts, didn't seem to have either.
As the contestants all lined up in front of the three hosts, Amber stepped forward with a smile, "Welcome everyone, to the newest season of Total Drama!" Looking over them, she added, "While some of you may know me from last season, there are quite a few new faces here, so I would like to introduce myself as Amber Chanel, your hos-"
Pushing her back, a certain Magmortar scoffed out, "Yeah, no one cares, toots." Ignoring her icy glare, he pointed at himself with a grin, "The name's Coonie, and I'm your most important host of this gig! And unlike that last season, this one is going to be packed with much more action...And possible death-"
The Magmortar gagged upon getting smacked in the back of the head by Aubrey, as she turned her attention towards the cast, "Listen up dirtbags, this...Is the starting line to the game." The group perked up in interest at this, "As of now, everyone you see around you can be your friend or your enemy, and if you want to make it far this season, you better be damn sure you pick wisely."
The players took short glances among each other, as the Blaziken continued, "In a moment, you'll all be embarking on a forty leg race all around the world. You'll be visiting tropical paradises," Cynthia seemed to smile slightly at this, "Freezing tundras," Ace shuddered at the word, though quickly composed himself, "Desert wastelands," Merle continued to stare impassively at the chicken, "Fierce jungles," Thunder smirked at this, as he puffed out his chest, "And let's be honest here, way more stuff than just that. So, if anyone of you is gonna back down, now is the time to decide!"
No one dared to speak or step out of line, as Aubrey began to smirk, "Good, so we don't have a cast of a bunch of cowards." Jane flinched to herself, as she continued on with, "Each leg, you people will be racing for a Pit Stop, where I and these two dunderheads will be waiting for you. Upon your arrival, if you had completed every task that day, then you will officially be checked in, and you'll move onto the next leg of the race."
The contestants nodded at this information, "However," the group turned their attention back at her, as she said, "If you're the last to arrive...Then you may end up getting cut from the competition." Some of the competitors stiffened at this news, "So if you want to survive this race, do whatever it takes to get by, take no prisoners, dominate your tasks, and most importantly, put yourself above all else!" The cast nodded once more in agreement, "Do this...And one of you kids will be walking away with…"
Both Amber and Coonie stepped up, saying simultaneously, "One...Million...Dollars!"
The cast seemed taken aback at this news, especially the returning ones as Sage quickly asked, "I'm sorry...Did you say a million dollars?"
Nodding at this, the Glaceon shrugged, "I know...I'm surprised too, but yes...This time it will be a million dollars cash prize!"
Staring at the hosts in silence, Brick muttered, "I...I can quit my job with that kind of money…"
A small smirk began to form on Lorraine's face, as she mumbled under her breath, "I can buy so many fireworks…"
Xavier similarly formed a similar smirk, as he began to chuckle lowly, "So many experiments…" He abruptly screamed, "So many ways to test what kills a man!"
All heads turned towards him, each player giving him a questionable look, as Sylvia, in particular, raised her brows, "What did you just say-"
"Anyways!" Clasping her paws together, Amber gave the cast before her a knowing smile, "Now that you all know what you're up against...It's time to start the game!" As she said this, a Drifblim entered the shot, rolling out a small box.
The box in question was tall and slim, is colored bright yellow, with a single black line going down the center. A single red button was at the top of it, and right next to that was a small dispenser. Walking up to the button, Amber pressed it, causing a bright blue card to pop out of it, which he took and held high, "This is a 'Total Drama Tip Box"." Leaning against the box, she waved the card in the air while saying, "During each leg, these will be located throughout the area, and upon pressing the button at the top, you'll be given your next travel tip, which will lead you through the rest of the leg, and the race as a whole."
Raising a brow, Ashley asked, "What if it malfunctions and doesn't give us the travel tip?"
Letting out a low chuckle, Coonie simply said, "Wow, that's a stupid question." The girl's eyes twitched at this, as he laughed, "It's plainly obvious that-" He was smacked in the back of his head again, "Ow! Stop doing that!"
Aubrey rolled her eyes, before stating, "We made sure that if for some reason the tip box malfunctions, it has a reserve feature that allows it to go through the center. So you're good."
The Whimsicott let out a relieved sigh at this, as the chicken smirked, "So...You all ready then?" A few of the contestants vocally cheered at this, while most of the others simply got into position, "Damn right you are!" She continued with, "Your first travel tip will be located at the Sky Tower," she pointed up towards the large, tall tower far off in the distance, before continuing with, "It doesn't matter how you get there, but if you do, go to the tip box for your next clue."
Nodding at the cast, Amber said, "Make sure to stay aware of your surroundings, and most importantly...Stay safe." The cast stared at her in silence, as she gave them a smile, "Now…"
"On your marks!"
The players got in position, staring straightforward...
"Get set!"
Most glances were made at each other, as the three hosts stepped off to the side.
Smirking at the group, Amber instantly exclaimed soon after, "...Race!"
