It was the middle of the day, while Juuri Kuran was sleeping in Haruka's arms, but of course she was restless. She couldn't sleep, and if she did, she had nightmares. Horrible nightmares about their son, their first child named Kaname, being killed by her own brother. She heard Haruka's words, that Kaname was gone, but she couldn't comprehend it. She had shut down, as if so tormented by grief that she couldn't even hear clearly, and even Haruka couldn't comfort her. "Juuri! Juuri! Wake up!" Haruka screamed at his wife, shaking her awake. Juuri, startled and disoriented, was jarred awake as reality set in. "Haruka, i-" Juuri started to say 'sorry' but Haruka just held her dearly, murmuring "It's okay. Shh, it's okay." The Kuran queen nestled into her husband's arms, too shaken by her nightmare to do anything but stay in Haruka's embrace, as he comforted her. "Juuri, love. I know it's hard, but we have Kaname and Yuuki to take care of now. We have to start living in the present. We can keep that from happening again." Haruka said slowly, as not to push things on Juuri right now when she was so vulnerable, as he caressed his wife's cheek. Juuri smiled slightly, thankful that Haruka cared for her so much, and messed up his hair. "You know, you've always been a brat. Following me to school, acting like we were already married when we weren't. I used to despise you, you know." Juuri said teasingly, reminiscing about her teenage years. The umbrella plot was still fresh in her mind, either because she told Yuuki about it yesterday or because it was just that memorable, she didn't know. "Yeah, well. I had to make sure you got to school okay and it was mostly grandfather's idea." Haruka said, blushing a crimson red. Juuri nestled into Haruka's arms, tilting her head slightly towards his neck as in an invitation, and when she saw his answering chuckle, she drank from him. Haruka concentrated on the most crazy memories he knew Juuri would laugh at as she chuckled at each and every one of them. When she was done, the Pure-blood Queen tackled her husband to the floor and said simply "Haruka Kuran! You are so... So... Perverted!" Haruka just laughed, looked up at his wife, and said simply "On the contrary Juuri, you are on top of me." Juuri rolled her eyes, kissed Haruka, and tousled his hair before rolling to her feet gracefully. "I- I want to do something for Yuuki, so she can have a chance at a normal life. A human life." Juuri Kuran said, already knowing what Haruka would say. They've had this conversation before, and with Juuri impeccably talented at spells, she thought she could do it but Haruka couldn't bear it. "Juuri. When it's the right time, when he comes for her, it's up to you either way. I'll follow you in the next life, where-ever you go." Haruka said wholeheartedly, finding it weird that he could talk about his own death and his wife's so lightly. Juuri Kuran hugged her husband as their crimson sweet moment came to a close.
