AN: This is a one page sample for a character application I sent in for a RP. I haven't written/posted anything in a while, so I thought I'd toss this up, just to add something new.
Saix let a breath out through his nose, as he listened to the report, trying to stave off the headache he knew was forming.
"So I did good, right?" The blond asked, shifting from foot to foot in apparent nervousness.
"Yes, you did well." He scowled as he scanned the papers in his hand. "In fact you would have done exceptionally well, had I actually sent you to the Pride Lands. However, I seem to recall your mission being to gather Intel in Agrabah."
A short pause, before a mutter, "...Oops."
He finally turned to look down upon the Nobody before him. "Oops, indeed. You should consider yourself fortunate, Number Nine, that you're as useful as you are. Otherwise, these little mishaps of yours would have gotten you terminated long before now."
"Well, I..."
"I don't want to hear your excuses. Fail again, and there will be consequences. Now go."
In a flash, he turned tail into a portal. No sooner had he left, did the voice of Number Two sound behind him.
"Take it easy on the kid, why don't you? He is after all, the best at what he does."
"The only reason his continued incompetence has been overlooked thus far." He turned his head enough to glance back at the other Nobody. "Don't you have something you should be doing?"
"No way man, It's my day off."
"Then occupy yourself elsewhere, before I remedy the situation."
"Okay okay, jeeze, no need to get your panties in a bunch."
His lip curled in a silent snarl, as he narrowed his eyes. The other lifted his hands in surrender, disappearing into the shadows behind him.
Returning his gaze to the file clenched in his hand, he growled to himself. "How I manage to still tolerate these miscreants is beyond my understanding."
And with that, he stepped forward into the awaiting darkness.
