This is just a short oneshot about Graypaw,Firepaw,Dustpaw,and Sandpaw finding a mysterious object in the woods.This would be my first oneshot so flames are welcome if needed.

Graypaw trotted through the forest with Firepaw following closely behind him.
"Are you sure you saw it over this way?"Firepaw asked his best friend.
"Yeah,positive.Can't you scent it yet?"
"Sorta.Does it smell gritty,like the Thunder Path?"
"Mmm-Hmm,"Graypaw meowed,too deep in concentration to give a full response.
"I smell it then.What did it look like?"
"Big,black,round.It had little rubber-like things that were almost to tiny to be seen on the ridges.And it had strange zig-zag patterns along the outside,for gripping the ground I think.It was sort of hollow too."
"Like the paws of a monster?"
"Exactly."
"So,it's not on the monster?Just sitting in the moss?"
"Yep.Wait,look!There it is!"Graypaw ran ahead and sat on top of the exact thing he had described.
"Woah,"Firepaw said in awe as he too approached it,"The only time cats get to touch these is when the monster's hit them.And no one's even survived that!"
Graypaw purred in delight and hopped into the hole in the middle of the monster paw,"That means I'm the first cat to touch it!"
"And I'm the second!"Firepaw lightly touched the monster paw with one of own paws and laughed.
"Let's play leader and deputy!"Graypaw meowed,"I'm Graystar."
"And I'll be,uh,Firefoot!"
The two apprentices were about to start their game when they heard two other voices come from the woods in front of them.
"Look!There they are!"Dustpaw came bounding out of the woods with Sandpaw following cautiously behind.
"Whoah!What is that?"he asked,staring at the monster paw.Sandpaw came up beside him and touched it with her tail.
Graypaw leaped out of the hollow center of the black circle and smiled in happiness,"It's a monster paw!And I'm the first to touch it with out dying.Firepaw's second,and now Sandpaw's third."
"Cool,"Dustpaw meowed and also touched it with his paw.
"What are you two doing over here on it anyways?"Sandpaw asked.
"Playing Clan!Do you wanna play?"Firepaw asked eagerly.
"Sure,I guess,"Sandpaw hissed.
"What're the filled ranks so far?"Dustpaw walked around the monster paw a couple tie and sat by Sandpaw again.
"Graypaw is Graystar,leader.And I'm Firefoot,deputy,"Firepaw replied.
"I'll be Sandpelt,medicine cat,"Sandpaw offered.
"And I'll be Dustheart,warrior!"
"Let's start,ok?"Firepaw said.
"Right,"Graypaw nodded and hopped up onto the monster paw.
And so they played Clan until sunset.When they got home they all retired to the apprentice's den.
That suhigh after all of the apprentice chores were done...
It had rained all night and some of the day so all four apprentices were worried about their favorite toy,the monster paw.
"Come on hurry!"Graypaw shouted as the apprentices ran through the wet woods to the mossy ground where the monster paw lay.
Graypaw saw it up ahead and sped up,but he failed to see the stump in the way and tripped,falling into the hollow part of the monster paw that was,because of the rain,filled with water.
The other three apprentices stopped in their tracks as they saw the water soaked Graypaw climb out of their toy.He was shaking because of the cold newleaf rain water and glared at the other apprentices as they laughed at him.
Graypaw hopped back in with a smirk and looked at the others,"Come on you guys!It's fun!"
"Really?Ok!"They all said in unison and hopped in,splashing each other and having the fun that apprentices should have.
