I'm in the ocean, looking for a light.
To put a stop to this endless night.
Cruises have passed, and I screamed "Help me!"
But they just stare in their pretty dresses, sipping their tea.
I look all around, and all there is is salty water,
I see a girl, floating on the water, motionless, just like they taught her.
A dolphin comes close, and says to me,
"Hey, why the sad face? Hey what's this? Some poetry?"
He read it, and them said with a grin,
"Let me take you to shore, just grab a hold of my fin."
So he took me really far,
But then an avent happened that was very quite bazaar.
"I can't go any further," he pleaded to me.
"I've grow very weak, and I need to see my kids, my wife, I know they miss me."
"Okay then," I said, "That's perfectly fine,"
"Thank you for helping me, all this time."
He waved good-bye, and swimmed away,
Leaving me all alone, astray.
"Why hello," said a boy, as I turned around in surprise.
"What's you name? Why are you out here alone?" Treating me like a prize.
"I'm stranded, alone, lost, I have no where to go,"
"Come with me," he smiled, "Please don't say no."
"Alright," I said, "It couldn't hurt,"
"Just tell me what to do, and I'll go to work."
"Oh no," he said, "You're a guest on this ship."
"Go get some sleep, and be careful, the weathers a little nip."
"Go change your wet clothes, and brush you hair,
You'll be happy, I want to put you out of your despair."
"Thank you so much," I said with a smile.
"I'll be out in a little while."
Time passed as we got to know each other,
And as time pasted, so did the weather.
"There's a storm a blowin'" said a man on the ship.
He stood at the top of the boat, at the very tip.
And sure enough, the bad storms came,
And in that time, that special kind boy got washed away.
"I'm all alone," I said again with a cry,
"What will I do? Can I reach the shore?" I knew I could try.
So I swam for awhile, becoming very tired.
Then I saw a fence, wired.
I look around, and spotted the pier,
But then is when I realized,
I drowned in my tears.
