A/N: My first official HET fanfic… I hope everybody likes it!

Disclaimer: I even know JKR and I especially don't know where she lives.

Pairings: Harry/Luna and Ron/Hermione (it's a fact)

Luna was walking down the hallway, "Hey Harry," she said to think air. She was walking back to her common after a late night detention for not paying attention.

Harry shocked pulled off his cloak, apparently used to this happening, "Hi Luna… Who did you have detention with tonight?"

"Snape," answered Luna staring at the ceiling intently.

Harry nodded tiredly, "I have him tomorrow night…"

Luna bored with the ceiling tiles looked at Harry, "I like you."

Harry choked, "What?"

"I like you," Luna repeated not caring what Harry would think.

Harry blushed, "Well… I like you, too."

"We should do something together," Luna said picking at her bracelet.

Harry stared at the blonde haired beauty standing a few feet away from her who was totally oblivious to her looks. She didn't wear make-up or do her hair special like all the other girls did. She was happy the way she looked. She wasn't going to change her appearance for anybody but herself. "I know," Harry said lamely.

Luna nodded, "I'll see you tomorrow then."

IN THE GREAT HALL FOR BREAKFAST

Harry watched Luna float over to the Ravenclaw table for breakfast. He was waiting for the owls to come. He had a surprise for her.

Ron looked at Harry intently, "Something wrong, mate?"

Hermione turned her head away from her conversation with Ginny, "Yea Harry. You seem a little distracted this morning."

Harry flushed, "Just wait a few moments."

Just then the owls swooped in.

The trio watched Hedwig and a brown eagle fly over to the Ravenclaw table stopping right in front of Luna Lovegood. Hedwig had a purple envelope tied to her leg and the eagle and a bundle of sunflowers in his beak.

Luna took her time with the whole ordeal oblivious to the whole hall staring at her. She took a drink of her juice and slowly took of the envelope but it surprised her by talking:

Dear Luna,

Would you like to come to the next Hogsmeade outing with me?

Yours truly,

Harry Potter

With that the letter popped into a box of chocolates. Luna not fazed at all picked up one of the chocolates and put it in her mouth, chewing thoughtfully.

Ron turned to his friend in shock, "Mate, are you sure your owl went to the right person?"

Hermione quickly slapped her boyfriend and turned to Harry, "That was so sweet, Harry! Where did you learn that? Did you get the book in the library? Because I haven't seen it before."

Harry laughed, "Only you Hermione, Only you." He joked.

Hermione blushed, "Whatever. I wish my boyfriend would do that for me," she said glaring at Ron.

Harry still scared as to Luna's answer. Harry knew that Luna liked him but that didn't mean that she wanted to go out in front of everybody and have there whole relationship in the newspaper.

Luna finally finished with the candy and slowly picked up a piece of parchment and wrote a quick three-letter word and handed the letter back to Hedwig.

Hedwig knowing her owner would want the reply quickly flew over to the Gryffindor table.

Harry watched the bird fly over to him with fear with over all his features. He heard Malfoy laughing and Dumbledore chuckling merrily in the back round but he didn't care. He took the note from Hedwig:

Yes

Was scrolled messily with chocolate marks on the corners.

Harry let the breath out that he was holding.

Ron watching the whole thing asked Harry, "So what's the answer, mate?"

Harry still staring at the parchment, "She said 'yes'."

"Well, why wouldn't she? Your great, Harry," Hermione said sweetly patting her bestfriend on the back.

And for the first time, Luna agreed with her.
