Freddie Benson likes to pretend the beautiful black-haired girl who emits everything he should be looking for in a girl is the one, and not that cold blooded demon.
She likes to pretend Freddie Benson's stupid little girly crush on Carly Shay is just a phase that'll hopefully end.. soon.
He likes to pretend Sam Puckett is everything he should hate about in a girl.
She likes to pretend she doesn't like Freddie Benson.
He likes to pretend that she's just some delinquent who'll end up having no future.
She likes to pretend that she doesn't like Freddie Benson – as in, more than she should. Period.
He likes to pretend he doesn't tease her because he likes her - as in, more than he should. Ever.
She likes to pretend she doesn't notice how he mutters phrases in Spanish when he's thinking, or how his cologne smells really nice in the morning.
He likes to pretend she's secretly jealous of his crush on her best friend, even though he knows that's definitely not true.
She likes to pretend she isn't – after all, why would a guy like him want a girl like her?
He likes to pretend that he doesn't dream about the day she'll let him wrap her arms around her tiny waist and let him kiss her.. even if she tasted like ham and bacon.
She likes to pretend that he's not the person she dreams and thinks about everyday.
He likes to pretend that he doesn't think about her everyday.
She hates pretending.
He does too.
So he finally manages to get the courage to kiss her one day, and the rest is history.
