Dedicated to gonnabemarine….she was in need of some Jibbs in the midst of my story Blame. So here it is…enjoy!

Gibbs used the poker to move aside a few of the embers before setting it down and placing himself beside her. He pulled her in close and shivered slightly.
"You sure we can't just go inside Jethro?"
He shook his head. "You're the one who said you wanted to camp out…I'm just being the dutiful partner here…"
"Right…I forgot you always follow orders…" She countered in a playful tone as she scooted the two of them closer to the fire.
"Ah, gotta love the great outdoors…"
Jen managed a smile as she looked around. "We're in the back yard of my house Gibbs; hardly the great outdoors…"
"Not necessarily," he replied with a shrug. "Your house is great…and we're outdoors."
She stifled a laugh as she nestled in closer. "I love when you attempt humor Jethro."
"Oh really? Why's that?"
"Because," she began, "It makes me think I'm a lot funnier."
"Ha-ha," he mocked. "Hey, just say the word and I'll douse those flames…"
"If it means we can go inside; then don't let me stop you."
He turned his head towards her slowly and simply stared at her in silence.
"What I do?"
He continued his stare. "Oh nothing…just gazing…"
She pointed towards the sky. "The stars are up there…"
"Maybe, but I have the brightest one right here with me."
She resisted the urge to outright laugh and met his eyes. "Jethro, that's beyond sweet, even for you. Did DiNozzo offer a little friendly advice?"
"Nah," he gently kissed her. "Okay, maybe…did it work?"
She moved in for another kiss and let him ease her down. Suddenly the temperature became insignificant. "I'd say so…remind me to thank him on Monday morning."
He parted from her lips for a moment. "That's if we survive out here…the great out doors can be pretty dangerous…"
She smiled before pulling him in for another kiss. "Tell me about it."
