"Connor…Shut up." Three little words that changed his whole life. Of course they weren't the three little words he had desperately hoped to hear, but they would do, especially if they were followed by the greatest moment in his life to date. Escaping a multitude of creatures from the past, chasing after things that would make others shiver in the night, all that came along with the job were nothing compared to the fear he felt as those blue eyes closed in for the kill, or in this case the kiss.

It wasn't like this was the first time he had ever kissed or been kissed really, he hadn't lied when he told Abby that Caroline had let him kiss her. Caroline's kisses had been rather cold and verging on sloppy, and now that he knew she hadn't really wanted to kiss him to begin with he could see why he had always walked away slightly disappointed by the experience. But feeing Abby press her soft lips against his by choice made all the difference in the world.

His heart stopped in his chest when she pulled away slightly. But like one of his dreams, she was leaning back in after just long enough for him to catch a breath. He couldn't believe his luck when he felt her fingers lace through his hair pulling him closer and deepening the kiss even further. When her lips parted slightly and he could taste everything that was Abby he was sure that this was a dream. And if it was a dream, he was going to enjoy every last moment of it. His analytical brain began categorizing everything for easy recall later.

Her heart beat just a bit faster and louder than normal. The sweet floral scent of the shampoo she uses everyday flooding his senses. Even down to the slight hitch in her breath as she gave herself over to his questing lips. Everything was properly noted and filed away for perusal at his convenience.

"Alright you guys let's get out of here." Hearing Danny call out made him realize two things. One the kiss, that kiss was real, had really happened and nobody was taking it away from him. And two, Abby was gone. He let the memory of her run across his mind for a moment after she had retreated and a small smile spread over his face as he let himself appreciate all that had happened in that few precious seconds. Tomorrow might be different, and Abby may try to play it as if that kiss had never occurred, but for right now and in this place Connor Temple was as happy as he had ever been.
