The Enhanced Super Soldier project (from here on referred to as E.S.S.) is a project designed to create an Elite Combat Squad.
Research on the rare Metal alloy found in the Hokage Monument has found that this metal is unusually strong after it has cooled, although it takes an unusual amount of time to cool from its boiling point. It has been theorised if this metal were to be grafted onto a Human skeleton it would hugely increase resistance to damage and injury.
It has also been suggested that through a series of medical techniques we would be able to inject various chemicals that would increase muscle and bone density.
With the assistance of Jonin Tsunade Senju a medical techniques could be developed to increase the growth of muscles and bones as well as increase eyesight and reaction time.
With these enhancements a person would be able to function beyond the bodies natural capabilities without Chakra.
Using the assistance of Jonin Tsunade Senju more techniques could be developed to increase the Chakra pathways and increase the amount of Tenketsu.
This would grant a greater Chakra reserve and greater control.

The Spartan project has become a complete failure, all three batches of test subjects have met painful ends, the Carbide Ceramic metal resulted in injuries that we were unable to heal in time to save the subject. The human body is simply not capable of taking this level of augmentation without rapid healing.
As a side note Jonin Tsunade Senju has left the village after discovering exactly what her techniques were being used for.
I regret to inform the Lord Hokage that the Spartan project has failed.

Sarutobi Hizuren let out a mournful sigh as he finished reading the document in hand, rubbing his eyes he looked through the glass in front of him.
On the other side of that glass was an operating room in the secure research facility located beneath Konoha.
In that operating room a team of highly trained doctors worked to apply the procedures of the Spartan project that Sarutobi had just read to a small four year old blond boy.
The small boy had been beaten within an inch of his life and would likely not survive another attempt that would be sure to come.
In desperation Sarutobi had revived the Spartan project in an effort to protect the young boy.
It would probably save his life but it would cost him great pain, Konoha would benefit though.
Sarutobi would do what he must, as he always had.
The doctors in the room were shaking their heads and Sarutobi felt his gut clench in fear.
Before he had even realised it two more doctors, both wearing full face masks had joined the group in the operating room.
A man covered in bandages stood by his side, his one arm resting on his cane.
"I have come to assist in the revival of the Spartan project and the saving of our very own Jinchuriki."
"Any foul play and I will have your head Danzo."
The bandaged man smiled.
"I have no need for foul play here Sarutobi."
