John watched Elizabeth as she stood on the balcony. He walked up behind her and gently draped his arms around her shoulders. She leaned into him and he hugged her closer.

"I keep expecting him to come walking through that door telling me to eat and sleep" Elizabeth said softly

"I guess that's my job now" John replied

"I just want him back, I can't sleep without seeing him"

"You'll be ok. I promise. And if you don't want to sleep alone you know where my room is, I promise no one will ever know"

"Thanks, I should get back to work"

"Don't stay up too late, and eat something"

Elizabeth laughed and John kissed the top of her head before walking inside. Later that night Elizabeth walked silently to John's room. She ran the door chime and waited for him to answer. He smiled as he let her in. As soon as the door closed Elizabeth pushed John against the door and attached her lips to his. After a few moments John pushed Elizabeth away and noticed the hurt look on her face.

"Elizabeth…what the hell are you doing?" John asked softly

"I thought that was obvious John" Elizabeth replied

"Why? I mean I don't mind but I don't want you to regret anything"

"I want to and I won't, please I just want to forget for awhile"

John nodded and kissed Elizabeth softly. He gently picked her up and carried her to bed. Afterwards John propped himself up on his elbow and ran his fingers through Elizabeth's hair.

"So any regrets?" John asked softly

"Just one, that we didn't do this sooner" Elizabeth replied

"Glad that's the only one"

"Do you think that Carson would be happy with us?"

"Yea, I think he would want us to be happy and find love"

"Have you found love?"

"Yea, since I rescued you from Kolya during the storm. I love you Elizabeth, hell I would follow you to another galaxy if you wanted me to. What about you? Has the great Dr Elizabeth Weir found love?"

"Yea, since you got that damn bug attached to your neck"

"Your beautiful Elizabeth, simply beautiful"

Elizabeth smiled and leaned up to kiss John softly. He returned the kiss and smiled as they parted.

"Sleep Elizabeth" John whispered, "Sleep, I will keep the nightmares away"

Elizabeth sighed and cuddled into John. He wrapped his arm around her and hugged her close. Both drifted off to a dreamless sleep. John woke up the next morning alone. He sat up and smiled when he saw Elizabeth sitting by his window watching the sunrise. The top sheet of his bed was wrapped tightly around her. He got out of bed and put on his boxers before walked over to her and placing light kisses on her shoulder and neck.

"Good morning John" Elizabeth said softly

"Good morning Elizabeth, why are you up so early?" John asked

"I wanted to watch the sun rise, I needed to"

"The sun will always rise Elizabeth, and any time you need me to remind you or keep those nightmares away, you know where I am"

Elizabeth smiled as she leaned into John and they watched the morning wash over the city.
