A/N: Hey. I hope you like this story. It just popped into my head one day at lunch and I say to Sarah "What if Seth had a twin sister?" and Sarah's said something like, "Ooh we should write a story about it. Can we name her Sarah?" And so here we are, writing this together. Seth and Sarah does have a ring to it.
And Sarah is going to publish this story too, so if you see another story like this don't worry.
Please review. It makes us happy. :D
Mysteries
Chapter 1: The Beginning.
Today I had to ride the bus home. Normally Leah picks Seth and me up, but today she was sick. So was Seth. But he'd gone to school like nothing was wrong and was feeling like crap all day. He shouldn't have come. I turned around in my seat to check on him, praying the stupid bus driver doesn't see me and pull over the bus to tell us for 15 minutes off for not sitting right like he has done before.
"You sure you're OK?" I asked him. He was laying his head over on the window, looking pale as ever.
"Not really."
"What's wrong?" I asked trying to sound sympathetic.
"I-I don't really know. I just feel horrible." Of course you don't, I thought.
"Well, all right then. Sorry." I sat back down, waiting to get home and trying to block out some stupid guys sitting across form me discussing how funny the word 'Dickinson' sounds, especially when they broke it down into three words.
Who am I? I'm Sarah Clearwater, Seth's twin sister. I'm tall; kind of athletic (I like soccer). I do look like Seth. If he were a girl with longer hair you'd might not be able to tell us apart. But seeing as I'm a girl and he's a boy it's obvious who's Seth and who's Sarah. I have a best friend named Ashley. Even if it is a Thursday, I'm going to her house tonight. Leah tried not to let me, said it was bad for my education or health or something. But she's just my older over-protective sister and Mom didn't care. And anyway, maybe it would prevent me catching whatever they had.
~.~.~.~
After dinner, I was going to Ashley's house. Well, I was the only one who actually ate. Leah and Seth said they didn't feel like it. They just said they felt wrong, couldn't describe it other than wrong. Who doesn't know what's the matter with them? Mom said she didn't want to. She looked worried. And scared. Seth and Leah just looked sick. And felt really hot. Too hot to be natural.
Anyway, I was walking to Ashley's house. It's just about a five minute walk so it wasn't a really long way to her house, even if it was in the dark. The darkness doesn't scare me. I like it; I know I'm weird like that. I did hear something in the forest, though. It sounded big, real big.
Well Ashley and I stayed up until like 2am, doing things most people do at sleepovers. I couldn't sleep, though. I worried too much about Seth. I just felt something bad was going to happen. Bad or weird or something. Maybe it was a psychological connection between us, like some twins have. But I didn't think I had one. It would be really cool if we did, though.
I finally did fall asleep at like 4:30. Yay, 2 1/2 hours of sleep for me!! Maybe Leah was right and this was hazardous to my health.
~.~.~.~
I expected Seth not to be at school today. But I hadn't expected Jacob, Quil, Embry, Paul, and Jared not to be here either. I wonder if it was connected. Something told me it was.
Mom hadn't taken anyone to the doctor yet. It seemed like she was waiting, expecting something to happen.
When I got home, no one was there except Mom. Seth and Leah weren't there, nowhere. And they wouldn't be at the hospital because Mom would be there with them. She looked anxious, about something other than the obvious.
"Where are they, Mom?" I asked her. She'd have to be some help.
"They...um...They're with their out with their friends. Where else would two teens be on a Friday night." she said. I could tell she was lying. I'm good at seeing through most people's lies. But since when does Mom lie to me. There was no way possible they could just get better like that.
"So you're telling me they got feeling better and just left. And you let them."
"Yes.... How was your day? Are you feeling ok?"
"I'm fine. Please tell me where they are. Please."
"I told you. They're with their friends." she said. She just looked anxiously at me then at the window. Ok, what does that mean?
"I'm sure they are." I mumbled under my breath as I walked away. OK maybe I was wrong. That was no help.
A/N's:
Eternal L0ve: Yes I know short. But sorry, I had no clue how to start this story off. Next chapter will be better, promise. And if your wondering why Seth didn't just phase right in the middle of school, its because no one made him mad enough to. You have to get really mad first, right? Please review, give us ideas. Any questions, just ask in your review, or you can PM me or Sarah anytime and we'll answer as soon as we get it.
Izabethelay13: Hello! Thanks for reading this, and I hope you loved it or at least liked it. So, Courtney pretty much covered everything else. Anyway, please review! Pretty please!
