Echo
Disclaimer: I do not own Kingdom Hearts
I am writing these words in hopes that they will reach you.
By the time you find this, I will be gone and you may not remember me.
I wonder, will this message disappear along with me? Maybe I'm doing this for nothing.
But if you are able, please listen to what I have to say.
I am not like you, but I know how you feel, and how you don't feel.
I know, because you and I dwell under the same shroud of emptiness.
This veil distorts our view of reality, paints the world in dull colors.
I understand, as you do, what it means to be half alive.
We are incomplete creatures bestriding the fragile line of reality.

The one thing I've learned during my time here is that fate never makes mistakes.
Your existence is not an accident.
But I am not like you—I do not belong here as I am.
I have a different place and a different purpose. That is why I chose to leave.
You have a choice, too: You can choose to believe in your existence.
You have been given a second chance to see the truth. Don't waste it.
A person is not defined by a heart. You don't have to be
With a satisfied grimace, Saïx closes the journal without reading the rest of the note and places it back on the bed, just as he found it. "Foolish puppet," he accuses the book. He takes one look around the empty room, waiting for a response, some sort of retaliation from the metallic walls, but receives nothing. So instead he turns and leaves to inform the Superior of another mission accomplished. The sound of the door falling shut behind him resonates transiently through the passages of the castle. The echo fights to be audible for as long as possible, but is eventually drowned out by the overwhelming silence, a fate it must accept.
In a town far away, a teardrop falls for the loss of a friend.
