Hey everyone it's Ginkies here, it was brought to my attention recently how badly this story needs a beta/review. So with A LOT of help from my friend KatieBees, here is the first chapter, re-written. By the way, I really think you guys should check out her Walking Dead story 'Of Monsters and Man' it's actually pretty awesome and she really could do with the encouragement!

Let's start where I should of started when I bumped into a Samuel Winchester then I'll tell you my tale. The thing people don't realize is that not everything out there in the dark is trying to kill you. Take hunters, for example; they stalk the night but never kill the innocent. So, when I tell you werewolves can be the same way I'd like you to believe me. I know you won't, hell I didn't until I turned 23.

Werewolves are people too, just hairy people. Just like the different races of humans there are different races of werewolves. Some from Asia, the Americas, Europe and Africa, you get the idea. Yes, we all started from one wolf but like humanity we spread around the world and created our own rich cultures. Take the clan I'm from; in the 1800's, an Irish Lord by the name Liam O'Conner fell in love with a married woman. Liam desired this woman so much, he made a deal with the Devil; the Devil would give him the power to kill her husband and in return Liam would use the husband's body in a ritual which would give the Devil more power.

However, the deal was a trick, and during the next full moon Liam was attacked and nearly killed by a large rabid wolf. Under the light of the next full moon Liam changed into a great wolf, and with the intent of fulfilling his end of the deal he went to kill his lover's husband. Racing to his lover's home a rage over took Liam. A murderous rage that consumed his whole being, corrupting his soul. It twisted and changed his whole outlook on the world, darkening it as each paw pounded the floor. Helpless to fight the pure animalistic rage he kill the husband. Amongst the struggle his lover tried to stop what she believed to be a rabid wolf from killing her husband. Blinded by the rage Liam unfortunately murdered his lover as well. The Devil had kept his promise; he had given Liam the power he needed.

When Liam woke the following morning, he was surrounded by the bloody corpses of those he had killed. Guilt and fear overcame him as the taste of their coppery blood remained in his mouth, and he broke down. Well, anyone would. He found the Devil and demanded to know what had happened. The Devil explained that the deal had been made and that the Devil had kept his side of the bargain, and to make sure Liam would keep his the Devil demanded Liam serve him and complete the ritual with the husbands blood. Liam being an almost moral Catholic (Well it's not very moral wanting to kill someone, but no one is perfect.) refused. Feeling betrayed, Liam lashed out at the Devil forcing him to flee. From that day forth, Liam vowed that he and his descendants would never taste human blood, and would kill every evil that the Devil created. Now, over 200 years later, Liam's descendents have kept this vow.

Until my birth, all the werewolves in my family were born male. I'm the first female descendant of Liam O'Conner, a werewolf who does not feed on human flesh, but instead on the blood of the demons we slay. While we are stronger from ingesting demonic blood, the control over our powers is also weakened. Think of our control as being on a diet, and the kick we get from the demon blood, a fridge full of chocolate cake. It is a constant battle to keep the werewolf side in check.

When I turned 23, I began to notice things weren't right. I could hear things others couldn't, smell different kinds of food a mile off and run faster than a freaking horse. When it began getting out of control, I rang home and explained what was happening to me, and that maybe the wolf gene had been passed to me instead of my brothers. My family was shocked to say the least and after discussing the situation with them, they agreed that it was best to drop out of school and join the family business. All my life I had heard the story of Liam and the work my parents did. Both my parents were hunters, my mother was a nurse until she started a family with my father, and my father was brought up hunting things in the family tradition. They never hid the evil from me and my brothers, but they always protected us from it. My dad was the only werewolf close to me as the gene only became active in one person per generation. After I had returned home, he explained things were now going to be different for me and that I'd never have a normal life.I understood and realized that I was a werewolf and that's how things were going to be.

Over the next few years, my dad taught me how to use my powers to my advantage, and how to hunt demons and the dark creatures of the world. Saving people was just part of the job, I actually had to listen to the boring endless fables and stories. I'd say that ninety per cent of my training involved my nose stuck in a dusty old book. After all of my 'normal' living, it was amazing to find something that feels like I was born to do. This life does have it's advantages too, it is cool, dangerous, sexy, violent and full of eye candy. You wouldn't believe the young hot hunter guys who, once they realize what I am are totally scared shitless of me. Unfortunately, most hunters aren't educated in wolf history and stick to the belief all of us are evil and have to be killed. This has caused me more unwanted attention and trouble than the hunt themselves.

Right, now that you know about my background, let me explain how I bumped into the infamous Winchester.

I returned to America for the first time in three years after I dropped out of University, when we heard that something big was going to happen soon, end of the world big. At 26, I was a woman, a hunter and a werewolf. Even though my powers worked differently than your regular werewolf, I was still affected by the Lunar cycle. This could be a bitch at times I won't lie.

I pulled into the motel, parking my '69 Camaro in the only space left next to an Impala, and grabbed my backpack, making my way to the reception. As I walked in my spider senses tingled. A man and a woman stood in front of me at the reception desk, booking a room for a couple of nights. Neither smelt right; the man smelt of demon blood and sweat, while the woman smelt all too familiar; she reeked of demon. I decided to listen carefully to the couple as I waited to be served.

"Here you go, room 12 is a double, can I have your name?" The clerk asked. I watched as the female demon tensed, and turned to stare at me. Suddenly cautious, I wondered if I had been made, see werewolves have a unique scent too only humans can't pick it up. I smiled innocently at her and she gave a small smile in return before turning back to the guy with her, who was just passing his credit card over to the clerk. The guy didn't even seem to notice the demon tense up or look at me.

"Thank you, Mr. Goldman. Have a pleasant stay." The clerk said passing Mr. Goldman his key and returning his credit card. Nodding, he turned and brushed past me and out the door, the demon close behind. My interest piqued, I watched the pair pause outside the door and begin talking.

"Sam, we might have a problem." The demon said before she paused, looking over her shoulder at me. I quickly turned my head back to the front and smiled at the clerk. He watched me for a moment, waiting for me to talk but I was still focused on the conversation outside. "That woman... I think she's a werewolf." The demon added and I swear I could still feel her eyes on my back. It made me itchy, but I just stood perfectly still.

"Can I help you miss?" The clerk asked after clearing his throat. Startled, I jumped slightly and gave him a fake smile.

"Sorry, I was miles away." I said with a fake giggle. "Can I get a room for a few nights please?" I asked smiling sweetly at the clerk. He smiled and checked his log.

"Sure thing, single room?" He asked, seemingly interested in the answer.

"Yeah," I sighed, getting my purse out and passing my credit card to the clerk. "But maybe not for long." Smiling he took the card and quickly processed the transaction. A feeling of relief passed through me when it was accepted, because it was clear that I wasn't Miss Ann Rice, as the card stated. I knew one of these days my smart arse sarcasm would get me caught out.

"There you go, room 11. Well, if you're staying a few nights I know of a good bar around here." The clerk said flirting with me while handing me the key and card back.

"Thanks, maybe I'll take you up on the offer. Bye." I said smiling and walked out heading towards my room. Room 11, next to the demon and her pet. Well, least I won't be caught sneaking around. And I can tell the police I heard the pair arguing in the middle of the night. I thought as I walked to my room.

The sun was high in the sky and I had to slip on my shades just to see where the room was. I never got used to the sun in America, somehow I swear it was brighter than anywhere else. The parking lot was full of cars and the semi-run down motel looked as busy as ever. I wandered past a few doors where the paint was peeling before I found my door. I took a second to look up and down the area before heading into my room. Closing the door behind me and turning the lock, I dumped my bag on the bed and checked out the bathroom. Seems clean enough. Shower with hot water, sink and ugly weird ass towels...could be a lot worse... I ran some cool water and splashed it on my face. I looked at myself in the mirror and smirked. No matter how horrible I felt, my body looked good. My shoulder length chocolate hair dropped round my face, framing it with the bangs I was growing out. My chocolate brown eyes showed no signs of the beast just begging to be let free inside me. I was smaller than most people, but my looks made me stand out. People just noticed me when I walked into a room, I had put that down to the werewolf gene inside me more than anything else. I shook my head as I scrubbed my face, I may have look hot but I was dying for some decent food and maybe a nice long hot shower. Walking out of the bathroom, sounds from next door caught my attention. Tilting my head, I listened in.

"She's a werewolf, Sam. This could mean trouble." The demon from before was saying.

"Ruby, I have bigger things to worry about then a werewolf. You promised that the demon here will know how to get Dean back." I could hear Sams footsteps as he paced around the room.

"I said, he might know. Look Sam, a werewolf could mess up everything here. What if it attacks and the cops start snooping around?" Ruby the demon said from the same spot.

"So what Ruby? You want me to kill a person before they kill others? She hasn't done anything yet." Sam protested shouting loudly. I was slightly startled at his exclamation, seeing that if I didn't have super human hearing, I would still have heard him.

"Sam. We can't have her messing things up." Ruby said, and the room went quiet. Frowning at the sudden silence, I strained to hear anything but could only hear Sam breathing softly. Deciding better to be safe than sorry, my best option was to get out into a crowd for a while. Knowing being in a crowd would be my best option because there was no way Ruby and Sam would make a move on me where there were witnesses. Well I hoped so anyway, I just needed to find somewhere busy. The bar? The clerk said there was a bar close by, that and I had seen a diner on the way into town. Feeling like I had a plan of sorts, I changed into some clean my gun, I placed it on the small of my back and sheathed my knife down the side of my biker boot. Heading out, I locked the door behind me and walked over to my loved deep red Camaro. As I unlocked the door, I noticed Sam walk out of his room.

There was something different about his scent which caught my attention. While it didn't have the distinct evil smell a demon had, it definitely didn't smell pure either. I had never smelt something like that before, it really peaked my curiosity. Turning back to my car, I climbed in and started the engine, almost jumping out of my skin when my stereo blared loudly. "I Almost told you that I loved you, Thank god I didn't cause it would have been a lie, I say the damnedest things, When you're on top of me, I Almost told you that I loved you." At the sound of the blaring music, everyone in the car park turned to look in my direction, including the clerk and Sam. Quickly turning down the stereo, I took a deep breath and released it slowly. Putting the car in drive, I pulled out of the parking lot and onto the main road, heading to the diner. You are a tit! What were you thinking? Do you want a neon sign to go with the air horn you just blew!? You screw-up! I thought as I drove down the road.

I pulled into the lot, parked the car and headed across the parking lot to the small, but nice looking diner. I was used the the hustle and bustle of the big city, but this town was small enough to have a nice homey feeling. Pulling off my shades, I walked into the diner and sat down at an empty table at the back of the diner, with my back facing the wall and allowing me an unimpeded view of the place. As I walked to the table I got the usual small town stare down from the locals. Every small town was the same, always cautious of out of towners. A small smirk crossed my lips as I relaxed into my seat.

"What can I get you honey?" A waitress wandered over and asked, chewing some gum obnoxiously. She must have been in her mid forties, but was still dressed like she was still twenty.

"A coffee and some fries, please?" I asked smiling innocently up at her. Nodding, she quickly jotted it down and walked off. A few minutes later she returned, bringing my coffee with her. I blew on my coffee as I looked out the window, when Sam walked into the diner and up to the counter. Curious, I tilted my head to listen to his conversation.

"Hey, I was wondering if you could help me." Sam said, smiling sweetly at the waitress. He sure knew how to pull off the sweet and innocent act.

"Sure, honey, what's up?" She said smiling a little too flirtatiously. Seeming uncomfortable, Sam let out a small nervous laugh in response.

"My...my girlfriend has run off. We had a fight and I was wondering if she's been in here. She small, dark brown eyes, brown hair about as long as her shoulders, err... I'm worried." Sam said sounding so innocent. Hearing his question, I took that as my queue to leave, and quickly put down my coffee. Throwing a few bills on the table I got up and headed to the restroom. As I walked away, I could hear the waitress reply.

"Sure, honey she's…"The waitress trailed off as she turned to face my now vacated table. "She was just sitting over there, I swear."

Quickly shutting and locking the bathroom door behind me, I could smell Sam getting closer to where I was. Panicking, I whirled around in search for a way out. At the far end of the bathroom, there was a window that was probably just large enough that I could squeeze through. Using my wolf powers, I leapt towards the window just as Sam banged on the bathroom door. Quickly unlocking the latch, I pulled the window open and wiggled my way through, just as Sam kicked through the door.

"Dammit!"I heard Sam shout as my feet disappear through the window.

Quickly running back to my car, I jumped in. Tires squealed as the Camaro tore out of the parking lot and back onto the main road. My heartbeat in my chest as I let out a small panicked laugh. I had no idea why Sam wanted to talk to me, but everything about the guy was giving me the creeps. The way he smelt, the way he was being used by that demon Ruby, the fact he was meeting other demons in town. I shook my head again, glancing in the rear view mirror checking that I wasn't being fallowed. Driving back to the motel, I decided my best bet was to grab my stuff and then get the hell out of town. I wasn't prepared enough to take out this kind of mess, I was going to have to call in help.

I hope you guys like the re-write! Again all the thanks in the world to KatieBees for all her constant help with this! Also much love to everyone who has read this, and reviewed. You guys have no idea how much you guys helped me.
