He looked down at the latest test he had given.
The students were to write a figurative essay if they had to lead a double life.
He had just reached Danny Fenton, class failure, and was shocked by what he read.
He had always known Danny had a talent but he never seemed to show it.
Lancer had been his teacher for as long as he could remember and he always was a good student who could rival Jazz with her smarts.
Suddenly his ninth grade year everything changed and he began to fail.
His grades dropped down and he suddenly went from outgoing student and teachers pet to sluffer and failure.
He did not understand what this student was, he was truly an enigma.
He was constantly leaving class and failing to reappear and when he did he was usually tired or injured.
Yet lancer also saw another side to him, just like his essay Danny was not always the clumsy student he appeared to be.
Occasionally Lancer was able to see through and see a brave student who was bright and caring, he was the kind of kid Lancer wished he could teach all the time.
The kind who knew they had a priority to others before themselves.
Once Lancer knew he could tell you who Danny Fenton was.
But now he is a mystery, and enigma, and a hero deep inside.
Once more Lancer looked down at the essay.
Leading a double life is truly one of the hardest thing a person would need to do.
To live two lives where nobody can know. To lead two lives where people would
Expect both lives to follow full expectations. Trying to keep one life normal and live
The other life filled with responsibility and recklessness. If I had to lead a double life
I would follow the responsible path. I would put others before myself and myself before
No one. I don't care if I get injured in the process, as long as I can continue to lead,
My double life
Lancer sighed "truly a mystery" he whispered as he wrote the A+ at the top.
