I do not own Doctor Who in any way. (Although one can wish…) This is my second Doctor Who related poem, this time based on Rose's thoughts when the Doctor leaves her in Bad Wolf Bay at the end of Journey's End. Please don't flame, although constructive criticism is very much appreciated.
Don't leave me here without you,
I'm begging you to stay.
I've loved you all my life and now you're going to go away.
You say that he's the same as you,
No difference my eyes see.
But can I ever feel for him the way you felt for me?
He speaks and thinks the way you do,
But still it's not the same.
Quit playing with my heart the way a person plays a game.
He only has one heart, he says.
Like me, he'll age and die.
So when you turn to walk away why do I start to cry?
Don't leave me here without you,
Where you go, let me come too.
I don't care about my safety-I just want to be with you.
If you ask, I'll try to love him,
Because he's just the same as you.
But wherever you may travel, just remember this is true;
No matter what, no one can ever be the same as you.
