Chapter 1 BPOV

Hey, I'm Isabella Swan or just Bella for short. I'm seventeen years old by my looks at least. Actually I'm 170 years old, and you probably wonder how's that possible, but I'm a shape shifter. I can shift into anything I want using will power. I prefer animals but I can also shift into stone, water and one of my personal favorites, a cloud. It's the feeling of floating and peace that I love. And the fact that you could see everything from up there. Once I shifted into a small gray cloud and floated over a very grumpy looking old man. Whenever he said anything mean or unnecessary I made it rain over his head. Good times.

I lived alone using my powers to shift into a form that resembled my parents. Right now my story was; a single mom living with her 17 year old daughter.

I'm currently living in Phoenix, but I know that it's time to move on. I was thinking of forks, where my best friend and also shape shifter (tough he could only shift into a wolf) Jacob lived with his pack. And my dad had lived there before he died 150 years ago. I was borne a shifter, but the signs came when I turned 14. So I ran away to keep my secret and not to hurt Charlie. When I was 17 I stopped aging, and that's also when my heart stopped and I became immortal. I am very similar to a vampire in ways. I didn't have a heartbeat (in my shifter form) I'm super fast and strong, my eyesight and hearing are way more developed than humans and I also drank blood. But I could shift into a human, that way it was easy to blend in with others. In my original form I had long brown hair and brown eyes. Completely average, but when I became a fully developed shifter my eyes turned purple and my skin turned very pale. I had a second power too. I could link my mind with others, too read them or talk to them. So I always kept tabs on Charlie and Jacob that way. My mother had died when I was borne.

When I had made my decision of moving to forks I started packing and doing those needed small things. Like enrolling myself in high school. I had taken a brake from high school for about ten years and was getting slightly bored. I had inherited Charlie's old house so that wasn't a problem.

I had everything packed within the hour and decided I needed to eat. I wasn't in the mood to hunt so I shifted into a human form so I could eat something. The food worked the same way for me as blood but only in a human form. I would bee leaving tomorrow. I didn't call Jacob to tell him that I was coming, I wanted to surprise him.

The next morning I got into my baby. My Ferrari 458-Italia. I had a very small amount of things. It wasn't practical when you moved around a lot, so I had this rule; anything that didn't fit into the Ferrari would be left behind. The only exception to that rule was my grand piano that I was getting delivered to Charlie\s old house later this week.

It didn't take long to drive to forks. I was extremely happy about the way cars have been developing to better and better these years. When I passed the lines of Washington everything turned green. There was forest, trees, bushes and other green stuff everywhere. It was a big difference to Phoenix that\s for sure. When I passed the border of forks I was hit by the familiar scent of Jacobs wolf shape shifter pack. I parked the car to follow the scent by foot… or actually pawn. I shifted into a wolf form that I knew the pack would recognize. I followed the scent trough the forest. My running didn't make a sound, something that was good not being an actual animal. I could hear howling in the distance. Seth. YES! I ran towards the sound and seconds later I could hear Seth running my way. I opened my mind.

Hello Seth. Oh but wait a minute, the wolfs could hear each other\s mind in their wolf form.

Oh sorry guys. I mean hello everybody.

BELLA. Seth screamed in his mind.

Yes Seth?

Oh nothing, I just had to get it out of my system. I could hear others laughing.

Okay. Who all am I talking too?

Embry I could hear everybody's mental voice. Everybody except.

Where's-I tried but was cut off.

Right her. I hear Jacobs voice just before something knocked me to the ground and now stood on top of me.

Well hello Jacob. Jacob hadn't changed at all. His fur was the same russet color and his eyes were the same almost black color.

It's been to long guys!

Bella guess what? We're engaged. Leah squealed. I looked at Jacob just before I threw him off me. Now I was standing on top of him.

Congrats guys. I squealed. I didn't miss the wedding, did I?

No you didn't, it's in 3 months. Seth answered?

Huh?

I know. Seth is the wedding planer. He has an eye for these kinds of things. Leah who understood my confusion explained. I started laughing, or barking but still the same.

Don't laugh Bella. You just wait! Seth howled.

Sure… I said trailing of.

So Bella how long are you staying? Sam asked.

I thought I would start high school and graduate.

Are you living in La Push? Quil asked hopefully.

Sorry guys. I'm going to live in Charlie's old house. Everybody whined in disappointment

Don't worry I will still come there and kick your buts!

Dream on Swan. Paul snorted.

I do. I laughed. Paul rolled his eyes.

Sorry guys but I have to go and unpack and maybe transform Charlie's house a little. That's a part of my shape shifting. I can shift any none-living-thing to something else. So Charlie's house was going to get a facelift.

No Bella, don't go yet! Embry whined.

Sorry but I'll start school tomorrow. So I need some sleep too.

Bye Bella. They said in chorus.

Bye guys. With that I ran back to my car. I almost drove right past Charlie's house, even with my eye sight. There were just ruins left. Well I was right; I did have a lot to do!
