Turbo really did hate bad players.
The small 10 year old goes into Litwak's Arcade, apart of the first rush when it first opens. She weaves expertly through the games and other kids until she reaches one of the games up against the wall. It was one of her favorite games in the arcade.
Turbotime.
Sure, she'd occasionally play a different game to give other kids the chance to play such a great racing game, but this was the place she'd be. Unfortunately... As much as she loved the game, she wasn't very good at it.
She inserts her quarter and the game starts up. She pushes down on the gas pedal, her tongue poking out in concentration as she grips the steering wheel. She was currently in the lead, grinning slightly.
She suddenly crashes into another car, making Turbo spin out of control. She sighs heavily and pushes down as hard as she could on the gas pedal. A boy comes up behind her and watches for a few seconds, starting to laugh.
"What's so funny?" She snaps.
"Dude, your driving the wrong way." He teases.
"...Oh." She stares as one of the blue cars zoom past her, going the other way.
Meanwhile, Turbo was miffed. Never in his life has he had such a bad driver. He didnt even know it was possible to go the wrong way. He jerks the steering wheel to the side, despite the players actions. He quickly gets them back on track, speeding back to front place.
Turbo's triumph was short lived as the girl runs over oil slick. The car spins out for the second time, hitting the wall. The girl refused to stop pushing down on the gas pedal, convinced if she kept at it, it would fix itself again. Turbo growls under his breath and rights his car, speeding down the lane again, into a turn.
Knowing by now not to get his hopes up, he lets the player do all the driving. His eyes widen and yells out a curse word as the girl does so etching unexpected: She hit a deer. Hit the deer and kept driving off into the green. The moment Turbo disappears off the screen, he regenerates back on the track.
"Aw man, this is worse than last time..." The girl pouts.
The race finally ends, Turbo(not surprisingly) in 3rd place for the first time in ages. The girl blinks in surprise as it seems like Turbo's little sprite was throwing a tantrum. She jumps back as the medal hits the screen.
This is new... Mr. Litwak probably upgraded the game to be more real... She thinks as Turbo begins to rant, oblivious to the girl still watching him.
"NEVER IN MY LIFE HAVE I THEEN THUCH A TERRIBLE RA'THER! I MEAN, SHE COULDN'T EVEN THAY ON THE ROAD FOR MODTH THAKE!"
She begins to giggle at the lisp the little character had. She loved this new upgrade. She stands to watch until one of the characters in blue stop Turbo, pointing up at the screen. Turbo suddenly stops, glaring up at the screen with hate-filled eyes. It only made him madder to see the girl still standing there amused.
"WHAT ARE YOU LOOKING AT-"
The TurboTwins quickly stop Turbo from saying anything else that might make the girl think the game was broken. One of them looks up nervously.
"Turbotastic!" The blue one yells.
As the game goes back to the start screen, demanding a token, the girl wanders off to DDR(a game she was actually good at). She planned to go back to Turbotime later, just to see him throw the tantrum again.
"Hey, mister!" She tugs on his sleeve.
He looks back, "Is there something wrong?"
"No, something is very right! I love what you did with Turbotime! Make sure you don't ever change it though."
"O...Kay?" Litwak gives the girl a strange look.
"Pinkie swear!"
He does as she says and she quickly runs off to play DDR.
"That is one strange girl." He shrugs.
