Heys, so I've been obsessed with Harry Potter fanfics. Particularly Dramiones. I love them! So, here goes! Draco's POV! A couple of years after the war.
Disclaimer: I do not own Harry Potter! I don't even have the books!.
Chapter One: Journey
Walking was the only thing that really calmed me. Not even Quidditch made me relax as well as a nice stroll in a small town. I had Apperated to the States. The state I was in was called Colorado, right in the center of the Rocky Mountains. I figured that this was far enough away to escape from my troubles.
And Her. That filthy little Mudblood. She always seemed to run into me, no matter where I was. But not here! Here I would be safe.
After walking for what seemed like hours, I walked into a local Wizard pub called The Magic of Music. There was a witch in a short sleeved purple turtleneck and skinny jeans. She had just finished a song when I found a seat. After she had finished an almost full water bottle, she started to sing:
"Just a small-town girl,
Livin' in a lonely world.
She took the midnight train
Goin' anywhere….
Just a city boy
Born and raised in South Detroit
He took the midnight train
Goin' anywhere…."
Suddenly the crowd roared and the pace of the music quickened. The girl was sucking me into the song. I was jumping and didn't even realize it. Then I saw her. Granger. Here.
"A singer in a smoky room,
The smell of wine and
Cheap perfume.
For a smile they can share the night
It goes on and on and on and on
Strangers, waitin'
Up and down the boulevard
Their shadows searchin'
In the night.
Streetlight people
Livin' just to find emotion
Hidin' somewhere
In the night.
Workin' hard to get my fill
Everybody wants a thrill
Payin' anythin' to roll the dice
Just one more time
Some will win
Some will lose
Some were born to sing the blues
Oh and the movie never ends
It goes on and on and on and on
Don't stop believin'
Hold on to that feelin'
Streetlight people
Don't stop believin'
Hold on
Streetlight people
Don't stop believin'
Hold on to that feelin'
Streetlight people"
"Okay, I'm takin' my break now." She said in the exact accent she had sung the song. I was kind of surprised. I didn't know that that was her real accent. It was so weird. "G's" and "r's" were completely missing. She sounded like she was straight out of a western movie.
Suddenly, Granger stepped on stage. What was she doing?
"This is a song I wrote myself. I hope you like it."
She sang something about love, and how no one ever loves her back. Surprisingly enough, she was good.
