Disclaimer: SpecialShippingForever doesn't own Pokemon.
Note: Lyra is Soul. I just made her name Soul because it fits.
You open your eyes and pause to think about your relationship with a certain rival of yours.
One word comes to mind when you think of it.
Siege.
You build up walls, only for her to break them down. Those walls that took years to build, those walls that you built to keep your emotions in. All taken down in a matter of months.
She didn't even bat an eye. Or maybe she did. In fact, she batted her eyes and swayed her hips a whole bunch of times.
She captivated you with her most elegant movements, you were surprised she didn't catch you drooling.
When you two were beginners, you hated her. Her persistence, her battling skills, especially that poofy marshmallow hat of hers. Now, you find that they're the reason you fell for her in the first place.
She's the Champion now. Maybe at one time you would have been jealous. But now you take pride in knowing that you helped her get there.
When she learned the truth about your ancestry, she didn't care.
"You're a different person than your father. You're a better man. I can tell." She would say.
You look behind you to see your Pokemon and hers playing together. It makes you think of their lifestyle before you two had claimed them. Especially your first Pokemon. You smile a sincere smile that, you realize, has come up a lot more often since she had come into your life.
When you turn back, the sky is stained red and orange, and you realize that you've been thinking a bit too long. When you shift, the girl napping on your shoulder stirs.
"Silver...Is it time to go?"
You smile again and kiss her forehead.
"Not yet, Soul."
You've had plenty of battles with her, and not always between your Pokemon. You lost the only siege you had with her, but it was worth it.
Losing never felt so good.
Soul and Silver. SoulSilver. Has a nice ring to it. You think before you begin to nod off again.
Hopefully, her mom won't be worried about her. If she is, then you're going to get killed for sleeping with her daughter.
Now that I look this over, I'm thinking "What the hell was I thinking when I wrote this?" When I do things like this, half the stuff that I write just pops into my head as I write them. Oh well. I want to know your opinion.
Please review. Bye!
