Sunlight had crept into the cool room, where a young pinku had been in her slumber. It was early in the morning, a little after sunrise. The day she was waiting for. Today she [Sakura would be going off to NA, Ninja Academy, as a freshman.
Did this bother her? No... well, maybe a little. Going to a new school... yes... loads of people where nervous. But this didn't stop her.
Sakura's eyes fluttered open, she quickly got out of bed, a sudden jolt of energy leaping into her. Yeah, she was so ready.
---"Ooh" She yelled. It was getting late. Pretty late I may add. And she couldn't find her notebook. Sakura was getting pretty pissed. Heck, the bus could come at any second and she wouldn't notice. Without it, she'd be incomplete in the Academy.Slender hands knocked down some things off of her desk and paper fell onto the floor, scattering everywhere. On top of it all was her notebook, the one she'd been looking for this morning.
When Sakura picked it up, her emerald hues had found something far more valuable than paper. An orange ribbon. Hm She thought confused. In all of Sakura's possesions, she had never found an orange ribbon in her room before.
A gasp escaped her lips. This ribbon had been given to her by a boy in her younger years. Back when she was a laughing stock because of her unusually large-forehead. This had been such a secret... And for so long, it'd been concealed on her desk. Somewhere in the clutter of paper that had engulfed it.
"Demo [But..."
Her eyes stared intensely at the orange ribbon. Who had given it to her? She tried to picture his face, her mind going back to those years long ago.
[Flashback
There she was sitting down all alone. Yes, awful, but obviously... it was because of the people. They had made fun of her. Just because of her forehead.
Psh, stupid... yes. But, obviously... no one cared.
Hearing some footsteps, the female turned around and saw a male. His face was a blur.
"Here,"
He handed her the ribbon and ran away.
[Owari [End
No, luck. Psh, didn't that just suck. Emerald hues scanned it again. Who was he? And why did he give her this?
Was he just sorry for her? Or did he... like her?
Heck no! Childhood love never lasts.
A horn blew from outside. Sakura ran over to the window.
"Oh man! I was almost late!" She squealed unhappily.
Snatching her backpack and the notebook, Sakura ran down the stairs and out of the house, into the bus taking her and other Ninja to their destination:
Ninja Academy.
