-for felicia. happy extremely late birthday and so so so sorry for the lateness. i don't deserve you as a friend. :P-
[disclaimed]
the fairy tale lifeisn'tfor me
[i don't wanna be like cinderella, sitting in a dark cold dusty cellar, waiting for somebody to come and set me free.]
the infamous party girl was stuck at home on a friday night…
[because, you know. she snuck out of her estate at 2 AM to buy some maraschino cherries because she just had to eat them at that particular time, which ended in her being grounded.]
bored, she went on google, her all time favorite website
[because really, without google, how would 99% of worldwide teenagers finish any of their homework?]
and searched up when the next season of american idol would start
[because if american idol can discover musical geniuses like adam lambert and carrie underwood, then it's worth watching. ]
when suddenly her phone rang, sharply piercing the silence with britney spears
[because what party girl doesn't have her phone ringing off the hook constantly with gossip and invitations to parties?]
"hello?" her angelic voice sweetly answered the caller boredly
[because how could she not be bored? she's stuck home on a friday night]
"hey leesh. massie block's having a party tonight. you comin'?" a deep seductive voice asked.
[because come on. why would alicia rivera give her number to someone who didn't have a deep seductive voice?]
"shit. really?"
[because massie block's parties were famous for their scandal and drama, all of which goes on behind closed doors.]
"yeah. if you're coming i'll pick you up in 30."
[because even though the party starts now, no one cool gets to parties that early.]
"i really want to, cam. really. but i can't. i'm fuckin' grounded."
[because she really did want to go. especially with the notorious boy-next-door/badass cam fisher by her side.]
"are you kidding me? leesh, just sneak out of your window."
[because really, what party girl would not go to a party because of her parents?]
alicia sighed. "i'll try. pick me up in 45 minutes, kay?"
[because there's no way she could get ready any faster, it's not easy being beautiful.]
shoving aside a medicine ball that was in front of her closet, alicia began the hard task of dressing up for a night of dancing.
[because she needed the perfect outfit that was classy yet revealing. i mean, she's alicia rivera, how else could she possibly dress?]
after discovering the perfect outfit for the party and finishing her makeup, alicia started doodling on a piece of paper with her new mechanical pencil set.
[because why wouldn't she want to draw coconuts and sheep then decorate them with glitter?]
she doodled, and doodled, but cam fisher never came.
one hour passed.
two hours passed.
three hours passed.
eventually, alicia fell asleep, but at about 2AM, cam fisher called her, waking her up.
too tired to listen to his explanation, alicia hung up on him.
and it was in that moment, that alicia decided she was not meant to be a princess and to be rescued by a prince charming. she would have to learn to defend herself, because she had no one else to depend on.
the fairy tale life wasn't for her.
