Wall
There is a wall between us all,
It's shiny as can be.
And as a mirror,when I look,
It shows but only me.
And when I try to come to you
It separates me then.
And no one knows that I do too
Want to be friends again.
Remember when the world was plain,
We stood there holding hands?
Remember,we swore to remain
Like then,eternal friends?
Remember when we walked along
The hot and squeaky sand?
Remember when we sang a song?
Why can't you understand,
The greatness and the power too
Cannot change everything.
Why cannot they and me,and you
Again go play and sing?
That time there was no blood,no war,
Equality prospered.
That time we knew what peace was for,
Can't we get it again?
We are not equal anymore,
I'm feared and you are not.
Is THAT enough to start a war?
Why do we fight a lot?
Remember when the countries knew
Who Matthew Williams was?
Remember there was Prussia too,
And Holy Rome arose?
The times have changed,and we have too.
We cannot turn them back.
We've learnt so many things,but,true
This is one skill we lack.
