Sobriety is Good
Summary- Ed gets drunk for the first time in his and pays the consequence. My first real fic, so please don't hate me for what will happen.
Ed sat in the bar twirling the shot glass aimlessly. Hughes has taken him out for his first drink after a stressful month. It was now around 11:00, and Hughes had trusted Ed that he'd get home okay if he left him alone. He made Ed promise that he'd call if he got too drunk.
As for Al, he'd passed the chance. He would've just gotten bored watching Ed twirl around in his bar stool.
"This is fun! I should get drunk more often." Ed said to himself as he laughed. "I'll have another!" he yelled to the bat tender, and smiled when the man poured him another shot of Vodka.
Ed grabbed the glass and drank the thing in one shot, like your supposed to. "I'll have another." he slurred.
"I'm afraid you've had too much kiddo." the bartender said as he took his shot glass away.
"Too much? But I want mooooooooooooore." he slurred as he let his head slink down and rest on the counter. He saw someone walking up to him. He couldn't see clear enough to distinguish him, but what he did know was that the man was as drunk as he was.
"Here's my tab." the man slurred. He looked at Ed. "I'll get the runt's too."
Ed looked up in anger. "WHO ARE YOU CALLING A LOUSY PIPSQUEAK THAT LOOKS LIKE HE WAS CARVED FROM A GRAIN OF SAND!" he yelled at the man. He realized what he was doing for him and stopped. He sat back in his seat and sighed, "I'm too drunk too yell. Thanks anyway."
"First time drinker eh? Looks like I'm a designated walker. Where do you live?" the man asked.
"Somewhere in central HQ." Ed said as he pointed in the wrong direction.
The man laughed a little and replied, "Okay then, it looks like I will have to walk you home."
Ed smiled and slurred, "Lets go." He jumped off from the barstool and started walking toward the door, but ran into the wall on the other side of the bar.
The man laughed hilariously. He put Ed's arm around his neck and stood strait up. What made him laugh more was the fact that Ed was lifted off the ground. Ed saw that he was lifted and laughed as well. He had forgotten about his temper.
The man continued laughing as he walked Ed out of the door to the bar.
It took them an hour before finding the central HQ, and even longer finding Ed and Al's room. They were the loudest drunkards ever, while they sang incomprehensible songs and telling slurred jokes.
They finally found Ed's room and opened the door. Al was asleep in his own bed when Ed hopped lied down on his bed. Then all memory of the rest of the night was forgotten.
The next morning, Ed was woken up by the blinding rays of the sun. He rolled over and felt something was wrong. What was this warm thing he felt? He opened his eyes and saw a blur. He waited for the clear to appear before seeing someone familiar.
The man opened his eyes and his eyes went wide. As did Ed's.
"WHAT ARE YOU DOING IN MY BED! WHAT DID YOU DO TO ME! HOW MUCH VODKA DID I DRINK?" Ed yelled as he jumped up and down on the bed. The jumping made the man fall off.
"OW HEY!" the man yelled and looked up an the fuming man. They both stared at each other and there eyes turned to dots. "Oh no." he gasped.
"SCAR? WHAT ARE YOU DOING IN MY ROOM!" Ed yelled again.
"I DON'T KNOW!" the man now known as Scar yelled back. This had awoken Al and had confused him more than the two.
"Brother what's wrong?" he asked. He saw Scr and gasped. "What are you doing here?"
"GET OUT GET OUT GET OUT!" Ed said as he threw things at Scar who couldn't have said it better than himself. When Scar had left, Ed leaned on the door traumatized.
He looked like he'd seen a really horrible ghost.
