As Sara walked by evidence examining room 1, she noticed Gil sitting there, hunched over the table. She took a few steps back to see what he was staring so intently at. She could see that he was deep in thought, probably trying to figure out how many words the tiles in front of him could make. Sara loved it when Gil was so deep in thought because he looked so cute with his brow scrunched up and his lips pursed. Even though she knew their goal was to remain professional at work, she couldn't resist this opportunity to tease him.
Sara quietly walked into the room so as to not disturb him right away. She stood looking over his shoulder for a minute, an amused smile on her face at the fact that he hadn't even noticed her presence yet. Studying the tiles in front of him and looking at his notes so far, Sara's smile grew as she figured out a word he hadn't seen yet.
"You missed one," she smirked.
Gil's shoulders tensed fractionally at the surprise, but upon realizing whose voice it was, he let his body relax as he turned his face to look up at her. He noticed the smile playing on her lips as she rearranged the tiles in front of him. Turning back to the table and the tiles, Gil stifled a grin upon seeing the word that she had made.
Trying to keep his face passive, Gil turned to her and said, "How appropriate."
Sara's amused expression turned into one of shock. "Excuse me?"
"Well, the definition of a vixen is a spiteful or quarrelsome woman," Gil managed to say with a straight face.
Sara's shocked expression turned into one of offense. "Are you saying that I like to fight?"
Gil was having such a hard time keeping a straight face as he thought she was adorable when she was angry, but he managed to simply say, "Yes."
"Well I completely disagree with you," Sara said a little heated.
Gil simply cocked an eyebrow at her to show that she had just proven his point.
Sara's expression remained the same as she never liked to back down.
"Fine, but you know, most men like vixens," she said with a gleam in her eyes.
Gil changed his expression to one of mock hurt as he said huskily, "Did I say that I didn't?"
Sara's hardened expression relaxed into a smirk as Gil smirked back at her.
"Oh, well in that case, I guess I don't mind being called a vixen."
"You shouldn't," he said even more huskily as they exchanged a dark and heated glance. "I find you even sexier when you're angry..."
Sara's dark eyes changed to ones of surprise as she cannot believe that he just said that and at work too! After checking to make sure that no one heard him or could hear her, she said in a seductive whisper as she inched closer to him, "Well maybe I should be angry at you more often..."
"Maybe you should...," he replied in an equally seductive whisper as he inched closer to her to close the gap between them.
"Should what?" Brass asked loudly as he entered the room.
