Hello guys. As I've mentioned in my profile and FB page, I don't have much time or mood to write. However, I was cleaning up my room to get ready for my future career in the past few days and I found a piece of essay that I wrote when I was around fourteen. I thought it was a good one, so I edited and rewrote the essay into a RWBY Fanfiction. I initially wanted to write Whiterose as the pairing, but decided Freezerburn would suit this situation better. It was just a drabble, but I hope you can enjoy it.
The title is taken from an OST in "Tsubasa Chronicle".

I Talk to the Rain
She was standing in the rain in front of her lover's gravestone when he approached her. She looked sad and her hood was down, but he could catch a glimpse of her lips whispering something.
He sighed; he knew what his friend was doing – she was talking to the rain. She always did whenever she came to the grave. He asked her once and she just shrugged and replied, "I just feel that…the rain can connect us."
There was some distance between them and she didn't seem to notice him standing behind. The sound of rain covered her voice so he couldn't hear what she was whispering.
But he could sense the tears.
His pink eyes widened in realization; the blonde purposely chose to visit her lover's grave during rainy days – because the crying sky would cover up her own tears.
She was strong, both physically and emotionally; Ren knew she had to act tough even in front of her departed lover. She wouldn't want the heiress to worry about her.
This was Yang Xiao Long, the mighty dragon.
Rock hard on the outside but soft as a marshmallow on the inside.
She moved a little and to his surprise, she was holding something.
The ring reflected in a perfect white as if it was the only star in the pitch dark night sky.
Ren swallowed, resisting the urge to cry. Her friends were very sad of Weiss getting killed in a mission, but Yang took the hardest hit – they were deeply in love with each other, and just when things were about to get better, a tragedy tore them apart.
He knew she was depressed. She kept pushing others out of her way whenever they tried to help – even her sister and her best friend Blake. But strangely she didn't reject Ren.
The man never knew why, but he took it as a good sign that Yang had started to walk out of the grief.
He walked to the blonde and the latter noticed his presence shortly after as she quickly hid the ring in her pocket.
Ren smiled faintly, putting his hand on Yang's shoulder, "I'm sorry, Yang. All I can do is to stay by your side and hope that you'll feel better."
The blonde grabbed his hand tightly and Ren shivered a little because of her freezing palm.
She must have stood here for a very long time.
Ever since Weiss' dead the sun dragon had lost her flame and it broke everyone's heart to see the pair of lilac orbs lost its soul day by day.
"Don't give up, Yang. Keep moving forward."
"Thanks…Ren." The blonde released her hand.
"I'm sure she will like the ring." Ren smiled.
Yang jumped a little, but recovered soon. She then took the ring out of her pocket and handed it to the man.
Ren took it carefully and inspected this magnificent ring made of white-gold on his palm. He smiled as he saw the word inscribed on it.
To my love, Weiss Schnee.
