Hey, welcome to this oneshot. I orignally wrote this for a fanfic contest, but I didn't enter it in time, but I didn't want it to go to waste, so here it is. Enjoy!
Maya stared down at the envelope in her hand. Her name was clearly written on it. 'Wow, begging Nick to pay me actually worked' she thought. She grabbed a nearby knife and sliced open the top. She pulled out a plain white check. It stated it was $50 for Maya Fey for Working at the agency.
'Well, I guess i owe him something for repeatedly drowning him credit card debt' she continued thinking. She opened her phone and started writing down ideas of what she could do with the money. 'Let's see, I could get that medium training I always wanted, or I could buy Pearly a present, or I could go out for burgers'.
"That's it! TO THE BURGER PLACE!" exclaimed Maya excitedly. She grabbed her coat, grabbed the paycheck and headed out the door. 'I hope Nick doesn't get mad at me for just spending this on burgers' she thought before leaving to the burger place down the street.
Maya walked through the door and up to the counter.
"Hello and-Oh, let me guess, a burger" said the person at the counter, who obviously recognised Maya from her countless visits there.
"Yes, though can you do it via a check?" asked Maya.
"What?" asked the person at the counter, confused
"I just got my first paycheck, and I was wondering if I could use it to buy burgers" said Maya.
"You have to take it to the bank and transfer it to money before you can buy anything" said the person.
"Oh, really" said Maya, unhappily. Maya groaned, grabbed her paycheck, and headed towards the bank.
Maya arrived at the bank. "Hey, could I have this check transferred for money?" asked Maya.
"Sure, what's your name" asked the bank teller.
"Maya Fey" said Maya. The bank teller typed at the computer.
"I'm sorry Miss Fey, but it seems there is not a bank account under your name" he said. Maya was starting to become frustrated.
"I have to create a bank account?" asked a complaining Maya.
"Of course" said the bank teller. Maya groaned and set up her bank account.
"OK, now can I transfer my check to money" said Maya. The bank teller nodded, took the check and typed some stuff into the computer. He then handed her a card.
"This is your bank card, use it to purchase stuff via money under your bank account" said the bank teller. Maya nodded, snatched the bank card, and walked back to the burger place.
Maya arrived at the burger place.
"Welcome back, you got a bank card" said the person. Maya grumbled and handed the bank card. "OK, what type of burger would you like?" asked the cashier.
"OK, I'm tired of this, I just want a freaking burger and now I had to walk here, walk to the bank, set up a bank account, so may I please just get a burger!" said Maya. The cashier completed the purchase and was slightly scared. Maya then asked Pheonix to transfer the money into her bank account next time.
And there it is, the story of Maya Fey trying to purchase burgers. Let's try ans not get Maya mad from now on. I enjoyed writing this, so I may decide to write some more Ace Attorney some time. Well, see ya next time
