He was dying. He knew it. Just from a stupid bullet that wasn't even for him. There was so much noise and activity around him. He vaguely heard a paramedic shout. "We're losing him!" He didn't care, though. Nothing mattered anymore. All because he took a bullet for the woman that he loved or at least liked a little.
She was in shock. That bullet was meant for her. Why did he have to do that? She knew about his feelings, but to go so far as to die for her? Now he was lying under a sheet with a hole near his heart. As she thought about him more, she realized he was truly an angel. An angel in a lab coat.
Author's Note: I'm leaving who the guy and girl were up to the reader. I would like to remind everyone that they all have worn lab coats at one time or another, so it's not just a lab tech that could have died. You decide.
