"I hate him, I hate him, I hate him, I hate him-"

Kiyoshi Teppei paused outside the locker room door, wondering if it would be detrimental to his health if he went inside. Hyuuga was in there, saying those three words over and over as if they were some sort of magic chant.

Well, he'd try it out anyway. Even if he had the idea that he should just go back and get Riko. "Hyuuga?" he asked, a bit nervous, pushing open the door. Hyuuga's chanting stopped, and Teppei stepped fully into the room.

The room was messy. Messier than it should have been after practice – Teppei had had to leave practice early, he'd had a checkup – but he supposed that it could have been made by changing. Still… usually someone cleaned it up a little bit, if not, Riko would get angry.

"Get out."

Teppei blinked. Hyuuga was facing the lockers, clenching and unclenching his fist. Teppei crossed the room and touched Hyuuga's shoulder. He would have spoken – given him some words of encouragement, or said something inspiring, or maybe made a joke, but then he saw that Hyuuga was crying.

At that point, all encouraging or inspiring or even joking words escaped him. Hyuuga wouldn't look at him. "Get out, asshole," he said through gritted teeth.

It had been a while since Hyuuga had openly said he hated him. Sure, he hadn't been lovey-dovey or even openly nice, but he hadn't said that he hated Teppei for a while. At least, if he had, it had always been taken as a joking thing. But this looked serious.

"Wha-"

"I said get out!"

Teppei kept a hand on Hyuuga's shoulder and the fist that had been clenching and unclenching grabbed onto Teppei's t-shirt and shoved him into the lockers. Teppei let himself be pushed, his back hitting the lockers with a dull thud.

"It's been a while since you've said you hated me so seriously," Teppei said, keeping his voice light. Still, there was a look in Hyuuga's eyes that worried Teppei a little. He wasn't worried for himself – he was almost certain that Hyuuga wouldn't hurt him, and even if he did, he'd suffered worse, hadn't he? "What did I do this time?"

"You're too damn perfect," Hyuuga snapped, his other hand coming up to grip Teppei's shirt as well. Teppei put his hands gently over Hyuuga's, covering them completely. "And I-"

Hyuuga made a noise of disgust and then, before Teppei could fully comprehend what was going on, Hyuuga's lips were on his, angry and rough. Teppei's hands tightened around Hyuuga's in surprise for a second, and then softened.

He cupped Hyuuga's face, turning the anger into something sweet. Hyuuga made a noise in the back of his throat and then it was all anger again, rough lips and rough hands and Teppei pushed back gently.

"Damn it!" Hyuuga said, turning away and wiping at his eyes with the heel of his hand. "I thought it'd quit if I did that, and then you turn it into something stupid and-"

"You like me!" Teppei said brightly. Hyuuga's face turned red and Teppei grabbed his face and kissed him again. "And I thought you were mad at me again."

"I am," Hyuuga muttered. "And you just made it worse, dumbass."

Teppei grinned. He'd been seriously worried for a minute there. But there was really nothing to worry about. "Who should we tell first? Ooh, Izuki could write us a lo-"

"Shut it!"

This was requested by an anon on Tumblr, who wanted a Teppei/Hyuuga with bitter tears and angry kissing. Which… only happened for the first part, I guess, but either way, I hope it turned out OK! This is my first time writing for this fandom, and that's always a little rough, but I don't think it turned out too badly!
