Her violet blue eyes glance up at the dark night sky.
She was honestly grateful for the fact that she couldn't see a cloud in the sky, and the only thing that she can see was the light from the full moon and stars.
She leans against the balcony railing. Not necessary minding the cool April breeze hitting against her bare skin or the fact that her thin dress obviously didn't block out the cold air.
He instantly slips off his dark jacket and slip it around her shoulders.
She immediately turned her head to look at him. Her pink gloss lips curling into a soft smile as she looks into his dark sapphire eyes.
"Hey," she says softly.
"I somehow figure you would be out here," he replies leaning against the balcony railing next to her never taking his gaze off of her.
"I do have a habit disappearing from parties," she says before cocking her head towards him with a small smirk present on her face. "But if I recall correctly so do you."
"It was how we first met," he agrees lightly. Remembering his first meeting with the Tenebraean princess a few years ago before the war started between their kingdoms.
Even though the battles between them and the war were somewhat a sore subject between them and was rarely brought up. He knows it was sometime during the war that he had fallen for her. The thought of being with another girl besides her sicken him.
Despite his good looks and the fact that girls were constantly throwing themselves at him at parties and other places. He usually ignores them and tries to get out of the situation in any possible way. Which usually causes him to seek sanctuary in another place where few party guest might be.
"What is the first thing you think of when somebody says night?" she questions lightly, looking up at the night sky once more.
His lips curl into a small frown at the question. Before he met her he probably would have said darkness. Darkness that covers half of the world while light covered the other half. He supposes that darkness suited him as well.
Shortly after Stella came into his life. He slowly starts to see that there was always light even in the dark spots of life, and that included in the nightsky. Even at night there is light through the stars and moon. While it may not be a lot it was still light.
"The stars," he admits causing her to cock a questioning eyebrow at him as she turn her to look at him.
"Why?" she questions softly.
"Because they remind me of you," he replies and he can see a light blush cross her features.
"If I didn't know any better I would say you were confessing your undying love for me," she teases lightly.
"Didn't I do that a month ago," he teases lightly, causing her to grin.
"Perhaps but I wasn't conscious at the time. I remember that I was in a deep sleep," she remarks. "Like sleeping beauty or something."
"Oh I guess that makes me your prince charming," he replies grinning lightly. "That wakes up sleeping beauty with a single kiss."
She blushes lightly as she notices him slowly leaning into kiss her gently on the lips. The kiss was soft and chaste, and she couldn't help herself but to kiss him back.
Underneath the starry night.
