Magnus' eyes flickered with a burning desire full of hatred and love as he thought about that night. Deep inside, Magnus felt the urge to pull Alec towards him, feel his hot breath against Alec's skin and tell him that everything would be okay. But it didn't work like that. Not more anyway. Magnus knew Alec hated him and besides, he couldn't just turn up at the institute like nothing had happened. 'There's no future for a shadowhunter who dallies with warlocks' those words buzzing inside Magnus' head as he moved his chair closer to the fire. Those winter nights with Alec as they snuggled up and laughed at any story. They didn't exist anymore. They were all just broken memories. Church jumped onto Magnus' lap trying to comfort him, but Magnus was in his own world of thoughts about Alec. Neither of them had been happy since the break up. Magnus wasn't entirely sure if he actually would again.

It was noon when Magnus woke up, from the sound of the doorbell ringing over and over again. He quickly slid on some jeans, not bothering to look in the mirror, then ran to the door. Whoever it was must had been desperate because every five seconds, the doorbell kept on making noises. Magnus finally unlocked the door. There stood a girl, her black hair falling to her waist, her brown eyes glaring at Magnus, her high heels making a stomping noise on the ground. Alec's sister, Izzy, was standing at the doorstep.

'Don't look so shocked Warlock,' her voice echoed down the corridor as Izzy barged past Magnus, entering his house confidently. 'You knew that I would come sooner or later, I'm not that careless, leaving Alec in a mess.' She continued. Although her voice was shaking a little this time. She obviously did care for her brother but also cared for Magnus, even if it was combined with hate for breaking her brothers heart. Magnus pushed the memories out of his mind, and followed Izzy down the hallway of his house, her leading the way.

It had been a long time since Izzy had been inside Magnus' house. When she rarely used to come here, it was clean, the occasional spot of glitter around but now everything had fallen apart. The place was a complete mess, chairs thrown across the room, clothes scattered on the ground. 'Magnus seriously has been affected by the breakup' Izzy thought to herself. Even Alec wasn't this bad. She would have thought that Magnus would have got over it quicker, clearly not. Izzy didn't exactly know where she was going or why she was in Magnus' house. But she needed to talk to him and sort out things with Alec. Even if that meant forcing Magnus to see Alec.

'Remind me why you are here?' Magnus asked Izzy. Magnus perfectly knew why Izzy was here, he just didn't want to say. In fact, he didn't want to think about it.
'Look at you, you're a state.' Izzy pestered.
'Do you have the authority to speak to the High Warlock of Brooklyn like that Isabelle?' Magnus scolded. He knew that Izzy was right, but just didn't want to admit it.
'I have the authority to speak to anyone as I wish, Warlock. Now listen to what I'm saying.' Izzy sternly said. 'you and my brother are both a mess and you need to get your act together. Either stop going on with this pain, or get over yourself'
